Wouldn't it imply that the tank pulled too much if his gear was insufficient to handle it? And yes, I used Lucid Dreaming (and Thin Air).

    To elaborate:
    1. Regen at/before mobs arrive. I had to drop Asylum too because a DPS kept standing in telegraphs.
    2. Lilly + Tetr weave
    3. Benison on CD
    4. Assize on CD
    5. Lucid Dreaming when I start Cure II
    6. Thin Air when LD drops
    7. Swift -> Holy while not on DR
    8. Benediction as oh-sh!@ button

For context, if I started casting Holy when he was at 100%, he would have been dead by the time the stun would have went off. I don't know what amount of healing I can sustain if a tank is losing 50% of their HP per round for 3-4 minutes.

Edit: For clarification, I'm 73... so no Afflatus. I didn't start using Cure II until the aforementioned oGCD heals were on CD.

Use Benediction as a planned healing cooldown rather than some kind of emergency.
There's an activation delay on it by design so if your tank is about to die, it's already too late.

Pretty much, I pop it at around 20-25% just to be safe.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
