Monk has really fast(low) GDC on max level with just the passives and some gear bonus stats, socketing speed materia is just a waste of stats. Basically every source in the net tells you that you should go for crit > DH > everything else. Also positioning boost is one of the less important things as a monk and you can´t even use all positionals(the damage boosted versions only i mean) on many types of content. Some people say Monk needs much positioning while thats half true at best. What Monk really brings forward is the right use of Six Sided Star and Forbidden Chakra which doesn´t need any positioning just the right order/combos of GDC and OGCD usage. Compared to that the positioning boosts are a joke, while, i repeat myself, you cant even use all positioning boosts often depending on content. It´s rather a little extra you may use if you can to increase your dps a little but it´s really not a big part of your damage/dps. Basically you are good to go if you just keep attacking from the side, while you won´t be able to attack from the back at quiet many types of bosses anyway.
