How do we know you’re not a macro player yourself op?

Cause they are "musically talented" enough obviously, it's not that hard to measure this 100% subjective matter! Just stick a cotton swab into their nose, if it makes a piano tone you have a real bard in front of you and if not they are fake.

These bards playing music in the starting cities, whether by hand or not, have brought joy and life to our cities. I have seen countless players, sprouts and veterans alike all standing around the performers. To take that away from us will diminish us all.

Unless you can specifically prove that a person is using some program to do the song, i.e. have them state it in chat, there isn't much you can do. Just move on and continue enjoying the music you make.

Or you can just turn all the performance stuff off.

I have never claimed I was better than anyone in performance.
I used the term "musically talented" as in some people just don't know how to use the system, NOT a term to say they are terrible. Anyone can be musically talented enough by practicing.

This isn't about jealousy, it's about stating the issue that it seems very unfair for someone to practice for hours to actually learn how to play, then for someone to come up to you and just play the same song, or another 1000 times better than you ever could because of a third party software.

It's not about "elitism". I stand by the fact that it's rather soul crushing and not that all fun wanting to learn how to use the system if there is a way to "cheat" it by automation.

Yes there is no "goal", There is no real "competition", there is no "progression", and it's all side content, but that doesn't mean some people don't take performance seriously and feel that they can never do as good as a macro player because it's impossible to play songs like you can in midi form by hand.

People enjoy the music, YES EVEN WHEN IT IS PLAYED BY BOTS. It isn't about how bad or well the actor is performing for most people, it's about the joy of music. Listening to it. Relaxing to it. Not about your skills or your, obviously really small, self esteem.

The person who practiced for hours to learn it can still find also joy in it. Cause most of them play to make others happy not to get a larger e boner cause they are better at something than others. Heck you need to step away from the PC and work on your self esteem if this makes you feel "soul crushed".

They effect music and transition them unless you're a music producer in someway where you are making your own tracks with samples, but even in that community, it's widely frowned upon DJ's who don't effect, and use software that auto syncs & transitions for you.

You are via definition an elitist, you are obviously jealous that others can achieve the same stuff via other ways which you condemn as not worthy.

So idk if you listen to yourself as i said but it's not like we just invented these things, you are showing exactly these signs and thus ofc we say you are a jealous elitist. It's not "calling names" when it is true and clear. Even if you are saying you are not your words speak for themself.

And yes, maybe you need therapy. Which is no shame. Many people have mental problems or social flaws which could be solved through therapy. That doesn't make you a bad human being, we all have our flaws. It's just good to work on them and you clearly need to work on your self esteem if that stuff makes you soul crushed and this is calling names and being bullied for you.
