Good. Im glad they started cracking down on that. Personally I am sick of seeing discriminatory, sexist, hateful words being used as names for anyone. Depending on how repulsive the name, I have reported a few myself and will continue to do so. We as a community should not have to tolerate this. Especially given the events of the day, we should be striving for better!

Just report this guy and move on. Well, anything that's considered offensive by reasonable standards. He's said plenty of offensive things since making this thread in and out of the game it seems.

Even from an internet-edgelord-comedy standpoint, naming yourself after someone/thing controversial is pretty weak and getting mad at people for not getting your totally original, lazy brand of early-20s middle-schooler level of shock humor is something a snowflake would do. >w>

OP is an angry human being, displaying antisocial behavior. If it manifests itself in this way in video games, and on discussion boards, it's a matter of time before it starts manifesting itself in real life, if it already hasn't.

Looking at it from an objective point of view, OP needs mental health help. For a human living in our society to think it is OK to publicly declare their support for rape and white supremacy, is sick.

I don't know if we have the means to help people who act this way; this goes beyond depression and anxiety and other common mental health problems. There is hate present here, and for hate to be present and that apparent is quite indicative of someone in pain, or angst, that needs help.

If we do have the means, I hope OP gets the help they need. If they continue like this, it's only going to be to a terrible end.

My guess is that the severity of the punishment has more to do with the player's tone than the actual offense. It could have been a slap on the wrist, but he dug in and fought instead of apologizing.

I would not go that far. Like, sure he is a troll, but this forum community is very much easily trolled. So he is just doing what is fun for him. Online is a pretty good stress relief ticking people off by being dumb or whatever. People like this, are normal in mmorpg community. So I don't really think too deeply on him being anti social and all that. He just enjoys irking people online, because to him it is not that big of a deal.

Well, I think it's saying something when even the regular trollers on these forums don't cross the lines the OP has. To their credit, they clearly possess something resembling a moral compass.

I have to disagree; someone taking pleasure out of antisocial behavior isn't just "trolling". This goes beyond your average troll. This is a person who spends a significant amount of time trying to generate ire in the people around him. The ire is a fuel, for more antisocial behavior.

Normal, relatively-well-adjusted humans don't sit down at their computers for the sole purpose of shocking people, to this extent. If your child, spouse or family member were behaving like this, you wouldn't just chalk it up to trolling. At least I seriously hope you wouldn't.

One day, pissing people off online might just not feed the urge.

This isn't healthy behavior... like, objectively, it isn't healthy. I cannot imagine a therapist looking at the types of things OP has said, and just responding with, "don't worry, it's just trolling." There's a pain at the center of this. It should be dealt with. OP might be a person suffering some kind of abuse; gaining pleasure (and thereby numbing their own pain) by making others feel bad.

I'm 46 and speaking from not only a lifetime of experience dealing with mental health issues, but thousands and thousands of hours communicating with other people "out there on the internet". I get trolling. I get, "yeah, well you're stupid!" I get Godwinning. This is beyond that.
