Which is cool and all but it's basically gambling. And either way I'd rather not see "technically not gambling" in my videogames either. If I wanted that I'd be playing an EA game and gobbling down their "surprise mechanics."

Yet here we are using every other arcade game for the exact same points ingame as in irl arcades (where pachinko also exists) to get fake points to get prices (US arcades has this too, with claw machines, and whackamole and any other arcade game you can think of.). Pachinko would obviously use MGP just like every other arcade game if that was not clear, it would not be possible to go at pachinko with gil. And there is no way of making MGP -> Gil. Pachinko is not a random RNG machine where you hope to get 3 7's for the jackpot, that is called a slot machine. Pachinko litterally launches a ball bearing in hopes of getting it to land in the correct slot. and most lets you adjust the power you put on the ball bearing as well. (if you don't have any arcade near you with pachinko that would be odd, but you could always make your own as it only needs marbles, nails, a flat board, and a spring and its a lot of fun.

Pachinko is treated as a arcade game because it is a arcade game. in Japan it just happens to be their go to arcade game where you get said fake points (like any arcade in any country in the world) and they take those points buy something and exchange it for money in another store. You can do the same with any arcade in the world, not just japan and pachinko. Hell arcades in USA are arguably far more enticing luring kids in to waste tonnes of money in hopes of winning ipads, iphones or other high value tech which is rigged to never trigger, and if it does trigger they usually get kicked out

If you want a truly gamble free experience like you say you should vouch for closing the gold saucer entierly since after all you do have mahjong which in asia is used more as poker, than poker itself in a lot of places :P

Make pachinko great again! <3
