It’s literally every time he meets one of our friends though. I think the main hate for him is they went from a fairly good character like exarch to…quite literally pure fanservice with graha. It’s just a degradation of a character not to mention the plot holes he created throughout the story.

More glam plates, I don't even need like 2000 glam dresser spaces honestly I just need the ability to make a plate for each job. Also add more dyes of more garish or outlandish colors like metallic pink, highlighter yellow, glitter dyes, and so on. Yes it would hurt my eyes to see people dressed like clowns in midday Limsa but I'd rather have it and deal with that than not have it at all. And of course... multiple dye channels for gear.

Job-wise I want them to throw their backs into making brd a true support dps again, but I fear they'll just let it remain mediocre or instead rework it for the worse.

I also want more logs. Specifically, I want a bestiary that logs overworld mobs and their drops, and a sort of ingame "lore log" that compiles story tidbits from quests and duties that you can search up. Something that allows you to look up character names you may have forgotten or notes about the cultures of certain locations or knowledge of how certain magic works, stuff like that.

It's not really degradation of character. Here is a guy with the knowledge of the ages in his head, meeting people who he only found out about after waking up. People who are essentially legends from when he woke up. He is literally meeting living legends he heard nothing but stories of amazing deeds about. It's akin to meeting King Arthur, Jean d'arc, Masamune Date, etc. You're meeting LEGENDS. Also there are no plot holes from the Exarch's existence...just confusion because nobody knows exactly how the universe works when presented with paradoxes.

I think the dislike of G'raha is warranted.

Firstly, we're talking about a character who looks like this:

Secondly, based on the direction of his story:

I think the writing around him is of very poor quality. Not only does he have many different special powers, they're all given to him through needlessly convoluted scenarios - including time travel.

Furthermore, there's no actual stakes involved. He plays a part in eliminating not one but two of the Unsundered and at no point does he himself have to pay any lasting, realistic consequences. Being unable to return to the First doesn't count - because he wanted nothing more than to travel with the Warrior of Darkness.

We also have no option to turn him down. I don't care about his one sided friendship. I want him gone - and I'd reluctantly tolerate him if we could shoot him down. In an already bloated cast of characters, there's any number of characters we have spent time with over the years. Why does G'raha, of all characters, have to fulfil the role of 'best bud'?

The wiggly ears and widened eyes each time he sees a 'hero' grows grating, too. I'm not fond of hero worship in general, especially since the game likes to state that everything is a matter of perspective - so there's little point in glorifying those who only secure victory due to never having to face the same level of destruction as the antagonists and due to having all manner of plot conveniences to ensure that they're never at any risk of having to go 'too far' in their quest for survival.

End of ShB plot hole where he’s supposed to be very weak but can somehow accomplish a feat he’d never done before and did it more powerful than when he was in his very power source. Plot.Hole.

Level-Skill sync to dungeons original level requirements. i.e. if the dungeon was level 54...you only get skills up to that level.

Keep current HP and stats, but the catch is the dungeon automatically tunes to PARTY average ilevel and tailors the difficulty for each and every single run. Making each run unique. So if you're 90 with party average 600 ilevel...the dungeon auto scales for ilevel 610.

    No AOE telegraphs!

Random dungeon until you complete your weekly, then you can que for other dungeons until the next reset.

    Increased tomestones of relevant tier.

I would like the challenge of going through the older dungeons, with an unreal twist but get's increasingly harder with better player gear and skill.

Part of me misses WoW Cataclysm heroics...and how brutal they were at release...truly had to work as a team....I miss that challenge...FFXIV dungeons are face roll easy. And a weekly savage static that meets once a week just don't keep me logged in. If I can get paired up with random people and truly walk into a dungeon that is challenging yet fair at max level stats...sign me up.
I'd be up for all that.

A Hall of the Novice-style tutorial at higher levels. Make sure it includes at least all of the basics expected of each role, like using a tank stance, using AoE and combo abilities, basic positionals, and so on. Make it available to everyone, in case people want to brush up on a job they haven't used for a while, but make it mandatory for level skippers. Getting kinda tired of having to explain to people in ShB dungeons that they have to use Iron Will to hold threat.

Oh yes, that. I could see one infer that he constantly held back because of his original plan to be thrown into the Rift to dispel the light (meaning he had to save up energy for that), and without that plan he had no more reason to hold back since quite literally everything was now at stake. But sometimes we need more tell, and less show. I won't even deny that feels like a plot hole without an actual explanation.

It wouldve at least made more sense if it was a self sacrifice thing. That would be much more believable than what they actually did. The fact that they constantly make it a point numerous times in the story and go to such lengths as to even show us the consequence of him overexerting himself(see:Kholusia) only to completely drop that plot and have him use a huge asspull at the end just ruined the ending for me.

Agreed. I do feel they could go a bit further though and produce something like a high level tutorial guide, going over some core MMO mechanics (e.g. value of DOT upkeep and AOE explained, even if the latter can be deduced from tooltips) and some of the more specific features of XIV at high levels, e.g. OGCDs, double-weaving. Not to the point of belabouring a rotation (which is more the role of theorycrafting sites), but exploring mechanics which it's good to know at high level even for people not going out of their way to optimise, without having to point people to The Balance or similar. I've not done HoN in ages but what I remember of it was that it's fairly basic.
