Speaking of tanks with bad/low gear:
Was leveling my Alt. Got Sastasha. Party was MAR, CONJ, BRD and DRG (me).
We almost wipe in the room before the 3rd Boss. I was the only one left standing.

Tank: "Hmm this pull normally works..."
Healer: "My bad. Spamming heals on you wasnt enough "
Me: "Btw tank you're wearing dps gear, not even tank gear. Maybe thats why you're taking more damage."
Tank: "Nah this is fine for sastasha"
Me: "Well clearly its not fine cause you died xD"

Rest of the run was normal except for the room before the last boss when our tank asked the BRD to use the LB on the big pull.
He said LB'ing the mobs gives him more exp...
Never heard that before but ok ^^

This right here is why you kick idiots from the start. I come from another pvp game that's not an MMORPG but from there I learned that bad players are most often than not associated with a terrible and ungrateful attitude.

Oh yeah, that moment right there made me understand exactly what the bottom of the barrel looks like. Three years ago I wanted to give everyone a chance, believe in the goodness of people's hearts and all that jazz. Now, if I see anything even close to that scale, I just give em the boot. They can go drag someone else down.

You do wanna range lb a big pull in dungeons. It'll do a lot more damage than even an lb2 on boss.

That easily could'a been an excuse (that they made, or heard) to try and get range dps to start doing that, since for some reason, doing more damage is not enough reason for damage dealers.

I know the logic behind a caster/range LB for big pulls. As a main tank i love it when people do it.
Just the tanks reason that "it gives him more exp points" was something i never heard of XD

Not necessarily a bad thing but I was running one of the crystal tower raids with an arcanist in my party. Granted, it obviously didn’t hurt anything. They simply didn’t seem to understand what job stones were like at all.

I have more respect for it and people who are clearly trying than I have for people who are already good tbh.

If someone doesn't listen at all and makes it clear that they have no interest in giving any effort then my respect level drops to zero and I basically will just pretend like you don't exist.
Because at that point you clearly don't respect everyone else you're playing with and only care about yourself.

This is why I love Alisaie as a trust member. I am that Alisaie as a DPS in DFs. Where else I get the privilege to touch that yellow gauge & get no ‘side eyes’ like when I accidentally hit it as a tank or healer?

Although there were few rare times when co-dps gets upset because I just use the gauge for melee lb1 whenever it’s up (usually by 2nd boss). What’s the point for holding it? It will fill up again by 3rd boss (or ideally don’t, because that means we’re rock for clearing stuffs fast!).

Oh for sure! Exceptions always exist.

I do not expend them when I know I land into things like Anamnesis and Pag’lthan. Those last wall pull has to be one of the most satisfying AoE LB moments in dungeon contents. Sadly a good portion of randoms I’m paired with simply forgot LB gauge exist.

When you queue for E9 because memory farm and farming some gear as rdm, have people die repeatedly, then 14% both healers die yet again, have the party scream healer lb3 in chat while both healers are dead, dualcast raise to get at least one of them up, and then see the healers get showered with praise for the clutch lb.

And get no thanks for getting the healers up for the clutch win.
