In my last orbonne run, which I queued for simply to play against Agrias because I like the boss, I left during the first boss. One DPS from my party were leeching and I got reminded why I don't like doing raids despite liking the content.

Tanking for an instance of Heroes’ Gauntlet. Pulled the first mob, then the healer runs ahead, aggroes another group, then healer-yanks me to him. Nothing said at all.

I told him “ok get a tank that’ll rush for ya” and hauled all the mobs to the exit point, wiped the party, and left. Mostly because I couldn’t find a leave instance button, partly because I wanted to waste as much of that asshole’s time as possible.

I’m not an attack dog you can just yank around, that’s goddamn rude.

Now I wonder if they’re going to nerf NieR’s too… which I’d rather not see it happening. They’re unnecessarily long raid that the current difficulty is barely enough to make me stay awake to get through it if it wasn’t for their music.
yes there were many deaths.... but the thing is.... people adapt and learn. after a few runs people get better and the deaths become less. there werent THAT many more messy runs after a bit of a learning phase. same with dun scaith back then.

still disappointed about the third lvl 80 a-raids difficulty....

So you intentionally didn't do your job because the healer (and likely the dps) wanted you to do a standard double pull in a level 80 dungeon? And you forced a wipe on top of it, which is considered harassment and hindering the play of others?

Talk about egotistical and childish. You have to hit one button to take aggro, it isn't that hard and you need to shape up if you want to not repeatedly get kicked - not to mention reported. Because I sure would have, and you'd be the one hit with a strike.

    Yup, an abuse of rescue.

Course you can't really report them for it because you've been just as rude.

Incompatable playstyles happen, but why does everybody have to be rude about them?

While the healer rescuing you into mobs wasn’t in the right - they’re also not in the wrong if that make sense?

With one mob at a time you’re subjecting the healer to an extreme level of boredom (especially in a level 80 dungeon where everyone is likely overgeared and *should* know at least the basics of the class).

They barely have to heal you, barely have the chance to DPS, etc etc. Pulling two mobs at a time isn’t rushing through, it’s doing something that is generally considered “standard” to allow everyone the chance to play.

However, they should’ve communicated that they wanted bigger pulls, and not have rescued you into a double pull. And *you* should’ve communicated from the beginning that you would single pull - that is something that needs to be communicated so that everyone knows what they’re getting into, since it is an anomaly and not the norm. What you shouldn’t have done was grief the entire party for the healer’s wrongdoing.

I tend to go at the tank's pace, and if the tank doesn't feel confident in pulling big, I just deal with it.

So I am still new to ff14 (a wow refugee) but been leveling a paladin on and off. Did a duty (first one you unlock in shadowbringers) and one of the dps lagged out. we continued on and only stopped at last boss when he didnt come back. we said screw it and 3 manned the last boss. Coming from wow where if one dps dcs or something, the dungeon goes to crap in a hand basket. It was refreshing to see well executed mechanics trump numbers.

Orbonne pre-nerf was fun but you had to be prepared that every time you ran it you had a chance you'd either not clear or just be in there for almost the max amount of time. I had runs week 1 and 2 that could not pass the dps check in Cid. I don't think they will nerf the Nier ones like that, the issue with those (especially with Puppet's Bunker) is they are just longer then they should be.

Yeah, same here. I might not like the pace, but I've also accepted that some people just aren't confident with the standard tanking practices yet. Maybe they never will. Who knows. For some it is better to ease themselves into it than throwing themselves off the deep end and learning to swim. I learned through the latter manner, but not everyone likes to learn that way.
