Sticking with a game, unsure if it's going to succeed, playing in the face of complete removal of all you did, and CONTINUING even though the game was horrible, is NOT the same as loading up "classic" to unlock a title.
That's why we have "legacy" stuff. Those players continued and were loyal even in the face of the game literally dying. It's not legacy just because it was in the old version, it's because people stuck around and played even though the game was horrible with no end in sight.
Your opinion isn't invalid, and sure it had some interesting stuff or I wouldn't have kept playing either, but when I say "it was horrible" I mean the game overall was a mess and not fun to play. That's why it failed. That's why ARR was necessary. The game (viewed as a whole) was bad.
