Before when it was far less rewarding for failing I found it more annoying, but now it's like "oh, kicked you off, here have some mgp" lol. And imo just sort of captures that casino like vibe. Having anything too gambling, like literal slot machines, might actually impact their rating and maybe not send a message they're wanting to send- so most of the games in the saucer are actually games to play. I think it's okay that this game is basically the epitome of a casino, and also that you dislike it makes sense then . Pure luck and nothing else, at least here it's rewarding even when you fail lol.

On a sort of related note though I feel they could have fun with one that's a bit more like those game shows, like any of those wacky wild obstacle course shows. (How is that related? Well my brain first thought of like spawning obstacles that you'd have to quickly position, jump, and dodge for, which of course just rapidly evolved into a thought about those crazy dodging boulder, jumping, climbing, ninja stuff - yes we've bombs or static platform courses, but not liking spinning arms, bouncy objects, boulders, moving platforms, there is a lot more room, and honestly just watching one of those game shows Japan has could be good inspiration of variants).

There is no safe spot, but these are the areas that are statistically hit the least (have the least moves that hit these spaces).
Since using these I've begun actually winning this event.

I hate Any way the wind blows. It's as fun as rolling a dice in your floor after picking a number.

But even so I wish they DIDN'T remove any GATEs. I wanted more variation of GATEs not less. Certainly not leap of faith and air force one spam more often than not.

Speaking of Slice, they need to remove the cups portion.
Slice is a game of skill, being able to find the safe spots where the bamboo won't fall.. why then make a 100% RNG event determine whether or not you can continue to the last phase?

It does suck to get an otherwise clean run killed by the cups. Especially when, traditionally, such cup games could also be outskilled by the participant. The fact that a quick-eyed person cannot follow the bad and good cups is disheartening.

It's frustrating at times, if you're trying to win for an achievement or trying to get the 'win X gates' challenge log done for the week or something. But despite that I kind of like it.

Yeah. The cup game is definitely the worst part of Slice. Why put a single point of pure RNG close to the end of an otherwise skill based game?

It's actually 3/3 in your favor if you have a good eye. Several reddit users have found out that the final impossible to track spin of the cups in Slice is actually just visual fluff and that the coin's final position doesn't move once that animation begins, meaning the cup section can be entirely skill based with zero luck. Using the strat in this reddit thread, I have about an 80% guess rate at getting the coin cup since I'm good at tracking them.

I just wish I had more to buy with MGP. I've bought everything I wanted (and then some.....why do I keep buying the hairs?), and I'm sitting at 8.4 million. I guess I could buy more blind-packed Triple Triad cards, but....eh.
