Realistic equipments or More fantasy equipments?

i like rydas outfit. Gotta remember though mmo can't have too complicated gear. The lag would be hiddeous. But ya more variety. I liked ffxi's rd outfit on mithra, and the monk style on mithra.
Dance t3 was my fave though. I love the black swan look. I wouldn't mind styles used in the .hack games/ anime.
I actually wouldn't mind a "the world mmo either, but that never gonna happen. (it got caned)

but yes, everyone in FFX wore shit and ugly attires. I'm glad they have modified Tidus attire in Dissidia

forgot ff8 with the early 90s look everyone wore and seed military cloths.

fantasy isn't all lord of the rings styles. steam punk and high fantasy
are still fantasy based. Fastasy is more the setting, not attier.

If anything, any tech in FFXIV is probably going to resemble stuff in FFVI and FFXII from the looks of the Garlean Empire.

well some machinery in ffxiv are powered by mini espers, like using the power. Like say using a mini bahamut to power you house XD

least that was what I read some place. machines are powered by some force of magic of some kind similer to summons.

escaflowne is a great example of a high fantasy story/ theme. the movie/ anime have mecha mixed with a very magical fantasy setting. (its also a classic)
