I'm "new" to the game, so overall still learning.

Saturday I unlocked DRK for the first time, I was really happy, since I wanted to play as a Dark Knight from the beginning if possible.

I've never played as a tank or a healer before, so to get some practice i go to Haukke Manor, so I can get some tank action.

Saturday around midnight, I enter the dungeon and tell people it was my first time playing that role, and that I would be trying everything out, the 2 DPS say no problem, WHM doesn't answer.

I start tanking and the WHM refuses to heal me, and only does DPS, we start getting wiped by groups os 3+ adds, I ask him if there's a problem or if he as any doubts, no answer.

Later on, I do my first mistake, I aggro 3 groups of adds, the WHM doesn't heal anyone and we get insta wiped.

Then he finally types something, "Go back to WOW lol, we don't have enough AOEs yet, pay attention or you'll get kicked"

Honestly I laughed at it, I never played WOW before so nothing regards to that, I clocked on 106h this Sunday, it's the first time i've ever saw something like this, but honestly, it's not something that affects me, I have over 1k hours at R6 and people there are ROUGH.

That said, I recognize my error in chat, and say that if he could start doing his fricking job we wouldn't be wiping on a low level dungeon.

Well I learned that if you have low dps (or pretty much stick to min ilv I guess) in the normal Leviathan fight, it will not do the big heavy wipe attack immediately and do other attacks similar to Extreme.
This pretty much caused everybody's brain (including mine) to mess up multiple times after the 1st wipe by hitting the generator late.

It was a bit frustrating but the whole party took it nice and had some laugh so I am glad it came out ok

Right? Im thinking id rather not tank for someone like that. Its certainly possible to get a group with no AoE outside of the tank at that level, but that is still someone with an attitude problem.

Haukke Manor

IIRC, mob groups in that dungeon consist of 3-4 mobs per pull, except the solo handmaidens. If I understand your story correctly, the WHM was simply being lazy with their job if they’re already not healing on your first pull. No offense, but if I were in your position I’d be very much welcome a kick because #1 I’d rather not deal with a princess healer-personae that thinks they have the full control over another player; and #2 I could just requeue instantly without penalty lol. I probably wouldn’t bail either—I would vote them off too. It’s them or me.

That WoW comment as amusing as it sounds, was pretty uncalled for, though. Guess some are just not as friendly to certain groups of players as they might think, huh?

Yup, well lesson learned, since then I played a lot of dungeons as a DRK, absolutely no problems since then.

But yeah, next time anything like this happens I'll just leave, it's not worth the hassle.

And I understand, everyone has bad days, but shesssssh...

Last thing, WOW was pretty big when I was growing up, but I was a console kid, I just went to PC a couple of years ago, is there really a rivalry between the two fanbases? It's not the first time I see it being bashed by someone in game.

As many said you got yourself a lazy healer. Unfortunately due scaling it is possible to do many lowbie dungeons especially manor with barely any healing if one does single pulls. Personally I have done many dungeons without a healer, and as a healer sometimes I ask the tank to not use cooldowns or take gear off cause healing can be zzz

In short healer was probably just Salty that their role in lowbie content is not really needed haha and stuck with that riveting healer dps gameplay.

Well I just dealt with classic "blame the healers no matter what" despite everyone else screwing up. Took the penalty after second boss in breach because half of my party is a bunch of screwups (one was new and that's okay). It got messy on the second boss because the other party's tank kept dying... somehow. Every tandem assault with the discs on the side half my party dies. Then my cohealer disconnects, I use Healer LB3 and half of them still die. I get so overburdened which then my tank eventually dies. And you know what the best part is? He places blame squarely on me for not healing him. EVEN THE BEST HEALERS WOULD BE UNABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THAT. I'm one of the better healers in breach and that raid was a lost cause.

Someone even chimed up with "To the healer who whined about being overburdened: maybe play a different job if you can't take the responsibility of healing???????"

So that person from Famfrit, happily run into a wall. You've no idea the crap I had to put up with that run and I wouldn't have wished it on anyone. After my tank blamed me despite solo healing a party that keeps having 4+ deaths every mechanic, AND the tank blames me, AND my cohealer disconnected, I stopped trying and then left after the boss died.

I haven't dealt with that level of disrespect in ages.

I'm a healer, I can't cure stupid.

Edit: After the 30 minute penalty I queued again. it was SO MUCH BETTER. Few mini mistakes from people which got them killed but it was stress free, unlike the last one.
