I read most of your post, and I DID get a kick out of it for sure; but this one statement REALLY stood out. Are you kidding me? You have time to think and react in FF, and enjoy slower-paced, more tactical gameplay? rather than spamming abilities and trying to avoid things???

Are we playing a different game? Have you not fought Ifrit? Are you sure you've actually partied much? Maybe you got PL'd from lvl 1 to 50 in the Beastmen SHs before they patched that? Because, SURELY, you can't be referring to the same game I'm playing. They may have slowed tp gain down, considerably. They may have limited the amount of abilities we can equip from different classes, thus limiting the ENDLESS spam going on, but it is still a SERIOUS problem.

Your description of what XIV is "not" was, just about, a perfect description of the Ifrit fight. And as for the camping, talking with party members, and all that, well, I dunno what you're talking about. The monsters die so fast that no one could ever, possibly, have time to relax and enjoy one another's company. If anything, the pace is still too fast. If ppl want to sit around and "button-smash," maybe they should go buy one of those "bop it, twist it, pull it, push it" things from the 90s or w/e.

As for me and the less primitive "pool" of the XIV community, I believe we would all like to see a much more stimulating and engaging battle experience. And the only way accomplish that is to slow down the battle pace, and put more focus into one's strategy, rather than trying to get spammed in cures while you endlessly wail on your enemy (how fun).

XIV, as it is now, is a SLIGHTLY more intense version of "Rock-em-Sock-em Robots." Here's the XIV you WoW players all know and love:

This was is a great tongue in cheek OP, but unfortunately you have to read most of the popular posts to get it. That makes threads like this one doomed to inside joke status for the forum addicted. Anyone else would view it as an honest to goodness letter and repond as abov.

Actually, jack a$$eS, I posted in both the threads (this one, AND the one it is/was based on). And, yes, I realize that this thread was just a "satirical" version of the other thread, but the OP was actually trying to make valid points in this thread....And the points he was trying to make, sucked, imo.

lol, no not so much....that was mostly to Coglin. Sorry that you got caught in the wake. Although, regardless of your intentions, your post did come off as insulting. Even if I hadn't seen the "To Square Enix" thread, it was pretty easy to pick up on a lot of the sarcasm. This paragraph would give it away to even the most oblivious readers:
