I've been watching Asmon do quite a lot in FFXIV.. and that is me, someone who never watched him before his first FFXIV stream.. he's legit had a very good time and had great interactions with the community. It's not as if he's wrong when he speaks of cultists evangelizing about this game.. those people exist and are extremely annoying.

Literally noone was on Youtube before June making videos begging WoW players to come to FF14 because WoW was dying. None of the FF14 streamers were telling their followers to flood the WoW streamer channels when the Twitch section had like 2k views. If anything WoW streamers kept saying FF14 was dying because it had so few Twitch views when our servers were full.

What happened was Asmongold started watching more FF14 content and got caught off guard when he realized alot of his viewers played FF14 and kept correcting him when he was just making crap up and using weeb for every single detail in a video about FF14.

Anyone who defends FF14 when that guy or any person is lying is called a cultist. The free trial meme was inside the FF14 community and WoW players all saw it because Belluar started making videos about it.

Unless there is something I am missing here there is no coordinated effort anywhere to flood the WoW forums with post talking about quitting for FF14. Find me a single thread where someone was begging Square Enix to go after the WoW playerbase and get all their streamers here? All of this cultist talk is just made up for anyone who defends the game in a primarily WoW streamer channel on Twitch.

Some of us just don't want to see 177 post by you telling us someone posted another Video. If you love doing this so much, make a Megathread called Asmongold Reacts to FFXIV. I know it might be hard to believe but some of could really care less and would rather to see other post.

They can't handle that a WoW player is more successful and famous than them rofl.

In fairness, a lot of the people doing the chasing/talking are angry hardcore XIV loyalists who don't like the idea of "scary other people" infringing on their marked territory.

Noone brings up WoW in FF14 more then WoW steamers that are just jumping on the bandwagon. I know I brought it up a few times but that was in reference to the massive wave of players that were about to hit FF14 because WoW players were constantly talking about it over there.

This is a turbolie. XIV players have derisively talked about WoW for years. I've never even touched that game, but every time I ever do anything to criticize the game on here it's always "Go back to WoW" or "Go play WoW you tryhard".

It's one known troll constantly making the threads, sometimes on alts but it's the same person because they KNOW it'll get a rise out of people, that's just kinda what trolls do. (exception being I think MPK is a different person, but still a troll)

And the people following Asmon to all the games he plays is just something that happens with his fanbase/viewers. It's been like this since he became popular. ANY game he plays is just full of clouds of players orbiting him. Some doing obnoxious things, some just trying to be "on camera".

It's not "hardcore XIV loyalists" its just the usual stream viewer BS that follows any popular streamer.

I have- on WoW, there's a guy that streams WoW called Asmongold and his fans follow him to every game he plays and do the exact same thing.

This is more or less what anyone who's watched him expects- keep in mind he had to quit classic because his followers sniped, griefed and camped him so much that he could literally do nothing at all for hours at a time.
