Yes, people here are just calling him stupid and presenting reasoning for why they think it's stupid. Personally, I know what this game provides. But don't pretend like you even bothered. It's completely disingenuous to people looking at his reviews as being even remotely informed or accurate of what the game provides.

If it's not for him, that's fine. But the only takes of his that weren't completely unfounded were the lack of character customization, and the PvP, or more accurately the lack of. If he doesn't want people spitting on him for expressing his opinion, he would do well to form his opinion on solid reasoning or at the very least solid experience.

For all, I care Asmongold, or any of the others can spit on the game to kingdom come, and write a review that completely annihilates the game. At least they've had the common courtesy of forming their opinion on a solid foundation and not doing his fanbase a disservice - This much is obvious taking into account even his moderator(s) were calling him out on unfair, or unjustified criticisms of the game.

I agree with you there. I've been following Quins FFXIV stream too and I can say with certainty that he bashes the game exactly because this is what "his" community wants to hear. His Donations are all TTS in his stream and I can tell you 90% of them were all "why are you playing this weeb shit?", "when will you play a proper game", "man this game sucks why are you doing this?!".

He has a followership of he people still clinging to WoW and he told them exactly what they wanted to hear to make them feel better because he is the hero that discredits the hype about FFXIV in their eyes.

I mean he jumped on the game for the wrong reasons, then skipped everything. Whilst Levelling doesn't teach you much.. It certainly gives you enough common sense to dodge an AoE, nor stand in a fire orb, or that you need to stack with a stack marker. I don't exactly blame him for skipping it's his prerogative, just don't try and slam areas of the game you haven't even touched. Or blame other people for the apparent shortcomings as a result therein. "Where were the heals" - Proceeds to stand in 2 fire orbs and gets killed for his max HP twice over. All of these were fundamental things he was missing, and he only tried to blame all of his inadequacies on the game itself.

I think I tuned in for the grand sum of 15 minutes. The rest that I've seen is from VODs or past broadcasts. Anyone that wasn't spitting on him for playing it and not a game they wanted only got turned away from the apparent lack of enthusiasm for the game.
