The proof is in the pudding needs to be a sidequest in game. More opportunities to fight flan, or even a giant flan hiding evidence.

a side quest were you have to rescue a child from inside the belly of a flan and safely escort him outta a dungeon type area. now theres a side quest.
I think we need to stop comparing FFXIV to other MMO's. It's in a pretty unique state in that they released it without it being ready for release. And after 1,5 years I think you'll find that most people will say it still isn't release-ready.
If it was 100% ready from the get-go with content to go along with it, it would be a completely different situation.
I cast heal spell....heal spell all around!!!!
HEAL!!!!
That doesn't even make sense. The thread has nothing to do with the game itself. It is specifically about communication with the development team. Communication in which we have had plenty.I think we need to stop comparing FFXIV to other MMO's. It's in a pretty unique state in that they released it without it being ready for release. If thats not enough evadence of the regularity of communication, then nothing can be done to sway the unintelligent rambling of the clowns claiming we are not being given information.

Yeah because 90% of people on this site has not paid for years of subscription to XI. You want to know how the real world works? If you promise a product to someone and take their money you should delivery it. Otherwise, you get a bad rep, the client can sue you, and you pretty much deserve to go out of business.
That would apply if they made any promises or garuntees. Your right, I never paid for years of FFXI subs, I paid for about a year, but I have played several other MMOs. If you think we are not getting much communication in relation to the genre standard, then it clearly demonstrates your absolute lack of knowledge.Yeah because 90% of people on this site has not paid for years of subscription to XI. Oh, I agree. They can deal with it how they like. They chose to deal with it by raging on public forums, sharing their rants with everyone as if every detail of their feelings are ever-important to the world. They should simply accept that when they go on a public forum to rant, people will attack/complain about them. The problem is the ridiculous white knight accusations being tossed around to anyone that simply does not want to put up with unnecessary ranting. To those raging at the ragerS: telling them to deal with it is humerous. They ARE dealing with it. Just because they aren't dealing the same way the rest of us are doesnt mean they aren't stuck waiting it out with the rest of us. To each his own all, I just fail to to understand how someone that is pissed about more delays effects the rest of you. Let em rage if it makes em feel better, its not really hurting anyone.
If people are entitled to raging online to deal with their disappointment, others are entitled to rage at their raging to deal with their annoyance. Don't just draw the line wherever you want about what's ok and what isn't. The FFXIV Forums are for discussion and feedback. Not one-sided, pointless raging.
If I'm upset with something I don't go out in public and start ranting among strangers. If I did, I would at least do so expecting them to yell at me to stfu.
Are you able to log onto and play FFXIV? Yes? Then you're getting what you paid for.Yeah because 90% of people on this site has not paid for years of subscription to XI. Were delays existent before they started charging subscription? Yes - and more than the number of patches without delays. Therefore did you know what to expect in terms of patch release dates when you started paying? Yes? Then you're getting what you paid for.
Are you paying for them to tell you what you want to know about the game's future when you want to know it? No.
You are getting what you paid for.
If you feel like you have any grounds on which to sue SE as a consumer of their product, Godspeed.
Otherwise, stop making horrible analogies.
