I believe what you're asking for is to just give them the male midlander rigging outright. Because what they have is just a more relaxed version of that.I'm a little late to the party, but I'm adding my two cents on the posture situation going on with the Male Viera. I want so much to like them, but the poor posture very much ruins things for me personally. It makes the armor fit awkwardly and forces them to look down like Miqo'te males. Just straightening the posture (unrounding the shoulders and putting the hips more squarely inline with the rest of the body) would go a long way to helping the situation. Personally, I wouldn't change anything else.
But please, please fix the posture so the gear doesn't look silly and they aren't looking down like male miqo'tes. As it is they look kinda silly and broken (hunched shoulders and jutting hips) next to their female counterparts, which is a little disappointing.
Male viera do just need to stand more straight, and less relaxed. I guess 'cool' is the idea SE was going for with their posture. I get it, but there are a lot of issues with other armor sets. It would have been better as a non-default pose, in my opinion. I would like to see their other poses though.

Agree, the stand is not sooo bad for me but some Armor sets looks weird on them (like Noctis Outift) Same problem with Catboys....Male viera do just need to stand more straight, and less relaxed. eh, compared to other male animations and poses male viera are pretty good
catboys' default is so bad that for graha tia (rewatch cutscenes he's in with you or just when he's out in the overworld) they modified his head to not angle downward like a normal catboy's would.
and don't get me started on male aura and their crash bandicoot run animation (you won't be able to unsee it)
Are you sure about that? Or is it just a mix of idle poses and the fact that he's short so he has to look up to prettymuch everyone?
NPCs will automatically look at you when you're nearby, so he's going to do that and look straight ahead or upwards to make eye contact with you. (He's minimum height so your character must be the same or taller.)

You all do realize they are NOT going to be changing postures, design aesthetics, etc just because you all are complaining just a mere months before launch, right? The armor has been fit, the designs locked, they are now just optimizing. Nothing is going to change, otherwise it would be delayed and the only uproars I am seeing are on the forums where most of the public loves them. So...get with the program. They aren't going to radically redesign male viera to please you, especially when people have already designed theirs in the benchmark and get to import them into the game.
PERSONALLY, I ADORE my male viera of me and can't wait to play as him. Love Face 4.

I.. honestly didn’t even notice it… may be due to me playing male miqo’te for so long lol. Welp, if there are actual errors then I’m pretty sure they will fix them or do hot patches later once their in the game and other glitches show. (If there are any) peeps on Twitter thinks the hunch they have is cute so far lol
Im sure the other idle poses will be fine, and if not you can always /fcam and face the head upwards a bit so it looks better. I do it on my femviera and au ra all the time when I afk. And they just added more poses anyway to everyone so....if you dont like that specific weird pose there are plenty of others to pick.
This, and besides all that, the idle position for the male viera isn't as..well, awkward as some of the races in the game. I'm happy on how they turned up, and the fac tthat they're slightly smaller than their female counterparts is basically a cherry on top of it since real like rabbits are a bit sexual dimorphic where the females are slightly larger than the males which the difference isn't major, and you can have both genders sharing the same height if you want.Im sure the other idle poses will be fine, and if not you can always /fcam and face the head upwards a bit so it looks better. Yeah they don't even look down that hard.eh, compared to other male animations and poses male viera are pretty good

My least favorite part of Miqo'te, and why i'm so excited for male viera, is that i look like crap in cutscenes. I always look like i'm ready to do the splits on demand. I'm also always looking down, even though i am one of the shortest male races available. Who am i looking down for, lalafells?
Male viera look down a little bit, but it's more like the head is tilted down but the eyes are foreward. Also they're taller, so they can justify having the head angled slightly downward. The default pose is very mild. It is literally just a relaxed version of male midlander, so it's different enough without being outrageous like Male Miqo or Au Ra.
(Also i appreciate that the smallest male viera is shorter than the tallest male miqo'te. I like being on the shorter side with my characters, and was afraid male viera were just gonna be too tall. I'm really tall in real life and i like to exist in a fantasy world where i'm not)
