Give Us More Housing Wards.

It need to be a limited source for one reason.. else the wards will and would be even more empty of players than what they are now, so no... not insane amount of more wards, maybe some as it is, if anything restrictions to 1 person FCs and such could be a good start dealing with some of this stuff.

Requirement of 6 people in an FC as a minimum, alts not counting would be a good start.

I'm kinda getting tired of the back and forth on these forums. It's all 'I want SE to take this away from other players' all the time. I don't want to argue about how to stop housing resellers, or about placard clicking or bots that have been created to make a quick buck off people desperate to get a house. I want SE to finally, definitively, put an end to this.

Give us more housing wards.

Not two or three, as is the usual.

A hundred. No, five hundred. A /thousand/.

Give us enough that you can remove all the current restrictions. People can own as many homes as they can have alts on a server and who cares, there's enough housing to go around. Hell give us two more subdivisions, so there's 4 divisions per ward.

I don't want to hear 'but but but server space yadda yadda'. If SE is determined to keep housing like this, then figure out a way to drop enough housing wards on us that it'll take a good long time for them to fill up.

Stop making players fight with each other for housing, SE. I'm tired of the divisions it's caused. Put out the fire, it's in your power to do so.

Don't just give us /more/ housing. Give us /enough/ housing.

You mean the free trial page that hasn't been updated for YEARS? (As far as I'm aware, at least) I mean, you can look up the "meme" advertisement that people love to joke about, with going up to Heavensward. Not a single mention of player housing in that ad whatsoever.

And yes, they bring out housing items. Because otherwise people who own the houses would get unsatisfied. They've put themselves into a rather uncomfortable corner and they don't really know how to get out without scarring either party or themselves.

We need to keep in mind that most of FFXIVs players do not really care for Housing or what it offers. They're here for the story, dungeons, etc. As such, Square Enix is well within their grounds to prioritize content that affects the majority (probably about 80 - 85% of the playerbase. Ballpark estimate, mind!) rather than giving resources that are already scarce to content that doesn't affect a whole lot of people.

That doesn't mean they WON'T. They are. Firmament and the Lotto / Ward-split being proof they are still working on it. But at a "When we can do it" sort of speed, which is vastly lower than people demand.

It may not be the promo they use now but the site is still the one being use to register for the free trial so my argument is still valid.

And I wasn't talking about the new housing items they put in game each patch. I have no problem with the crafted one, even with the treasure maps one. I was mainly referring to the special events items that they give us and the way they keep shoving outdoor items as rewards when those quest can be pick up by the majority of player at lvl 15 (except the summer event) and you better pick it up if you don't want to pay for it on the mogstation later even if the vast majority of players don't have access to a front yard (and let's be honest, even if you are in an FC most of the times, only a few have decorating rights) and probably never will in the future either so it just ends up clogging up inventory space.

At least, give items as quest rewards that everybody can use
