Partially, yes. But here's the thing, we don't know specifics. As we have seen from NUMEROUS game promotions, any idea can be presented in a way that will cause hype... but what the actual implementation of that idea and the hype surrounding it may be two very different things.

For all we know, this lotto could really be an auto allocation system based upon neighborhood and house type, and you enter the queue and eventually get your house and it happens to be called a "lotto".

We simply do not have enough information at this time.

Tbh, this set of changes raises more questions than it does provide answers as (again) we need more information. Specifically:

• Does the lotto system come with the abolition of the flip timer?
• Are they going to split the FC and personal houses by cloning all the wards, deleting the duplicate FC houses out of one set (making it personal house only) while doing the same for personal houses (making it FC only) in the other set?
• Are we going to have wards that are mixed, FC only, and personal only moving forward?
• How does buying a lotto ticket work?
• Can I buy more than one lotto ticket for a house?
• Will I expect to see a refund of some kind from the lotto system?

As I have been saying throughout this thread, the chicken little overreaction to Yoshi-P mentioning housing is completely unwarranted because all he's effectively said is "things will change" and we don't have any additional data (or if there is, please link it).

You know I'm pointing at the truth, and you can't handle it, so you're gonna blame me for all of the game's problems instead of facing that truth: You are reacting to almost no information with emotionally driven panic instead of thinking critically about what has been said.

I'll continue to make suggestions, and we'll see how it goes. That's how a growth mindset works.

Those in support of a lottery system. lol Sure, we don't have all of the facts, and a bunch of us could very well eat our words in the end. I can accept that. But a lottery is pretty straight forward in concept, and we have been saying for MONTHS that there's more cons than pros in such a system. The complete lack of information on what SE is doing with regards to supply opens up an entire spectrum of possibility. On one end of the spectrum, if nothing is done to address the housing supply issues then the lotto will definitely make things worse.

However, it may end up being a wash if (for example) SE also does the following with the update:

• Each ward gets 20 wards that are personal house only, and another 10 that are FC only
• Island Sanctuaries is a strictly better replacement for gardening
• Players get a workshop through Garlond Ironworks that is an exact duplicate of the FC workshop

The point here is that we don't know, and the more measured (and mature) response is "what was said on the live stream is interesting, but we need more information" rather than the hysterical reactions many have posted on this thread.
