A lottery system is not a solution to the issue, and its unfortunate this is the best we are getting.

Housing supply is the problem, yet demand is currently limited to those capable of spending 12+ hours at a placard and/or those willing to break the TOS by using third party macro software.

Adding a lottery system without a proportionate increase in supply makes the problem worse, as it now tangibly affects hundreds of thousands of players who had previously seen housing as a system not available to them.

I don't care for the leottery proposal or the segregating of FCs to specific wards. It is what it is. Curious what other changes are made to purchasing I don't think we're heard all the changes yet.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a one house per account although i think all current owners will be grandfathered in. Transfers might have some limitations imposed as well.

I wonder if the FC only wards are in hopes of curtailing the selling of FC houses, from things I've read, that seems to be an issue? People creating a small FC, snatching up a house as an FC house, then turning around and selling it for much more than it would cost normally?

It will not solve anything, people who want to sell housing attached to a FC is still going to be a thing.

Lottery has been suggested many times, it just means the bots would have a high succesrate of winning a plot when they put in 1000 bots on the same plot, likewise FCs and private houses should not be seperated.

This. If SE wants to combat housing hoarders and resellers, they have to overhaul FCs (especially how quickly you can turn over FC Master to someone) and relocation (a 5 minute window where you cannot relocate again is not going to cut it).

The draws backs of a lotto have been explained time and time again but people are daft. Wont be long before someone with like 500 losses in the lotto raises a serious stink over it..
