Is there an inexpensive way to base yourself out of Kugane/Shirogane?

I use Aetheryte Tickets for when it's gonna get real expensive.
"One Aetheryte Ticket can be purchased for 5 Allied Seals at your Grand Company, or 5 Centurio Seals from Ardolain at the Forgotten Knight in Ishgard."

I know not everyone might feel like doing hunts just for that.
I'm just sharing my own way to get around the high prices incase it'll help.

Alternative to hunts, BLU is a great way to build allied seals.
Makes for cheap and easy stacks of free teleport tickets.

Thank you everyone for your input! I now have a lovely apartment in Shirogane! The "it will be peanuts to teleport there from anywhere" was really what I needed to confirm, and now I have, so thank you!

If you've got a friend that has a house, if they share their house with you, you can teleport there much the same as your apartment. Also you can buy Grand Company Aetheryte Tickets to get to your Grand Company asap. Those are easily purchased with GC Seals. Regular Aetheryte Tickets can be purchased with other types of currency (Allied Seals/Centurio Seals) but they can be a weekly chore to work up to.

So my setup is as follows:
My apartment is in Gridania. My FC is in Uldah. I have a shared estate with a friend in Shirogane. Free Port is in Crystarium and HP is set to random; currently in Doman Enclave due to Bozja stuffs. Favored destinations: Limsa Lominsa, Rhalgar's Reach, Ishgard.

Hunt tokens for free tp are really interesting. Only with weekly hunt, you can probably make more than enough free tp bond.

I have my houses (FC & personal) AND apartment in Shirogane. My free teleport (from one time password) is Kugane. My home point is Ul'dah. This way I get free teleports to Kugane and Ul'dah.

Putting a free teleport in the same city as your house (ie. your cheapest paid teleport destination) is not an efficient place to put it. You'd be better off having your two free destinations far away from your house – one in Eorzea and one in Norvrandt or whatever far-flung place the story takes us next.

If you don't mind an extra travel step, you could also take the boat between Kugane and Limsa. I forget the exact price, but it's cheaper than teleporting.
