Wait, so you think because you tell someone they are wrong or an idiot means that it will magically change their view of a certain group? Yeah, I do not think that is how people work, if it did we would not have most the problems or debates we have.
Also yeah they can, because sadly being as hate is an emotion, which is inherently bias around a personal belief if someone believes something to be true they will believe it. That is the reality, unless you want to discredit all ideas and beliefs that go against your own. Which I do not think that is the case, so yeah I still stand by what I said any group can be a hate group just depends on who you ask.
Let us be real facts and logic do not matter in most of these issues, people are based around their own emotional bias.

this post doesn't really say anything, other than you don't understand what a hate group is. should google it or something.Wait, so you think because you tell someone they are wrong or an idiot means that it will magically change their view of a certain group? if you're talking about reality facts will trump emotional bias. that's such a basic building block of fundamental understanding that misunderstanding that is
well if i wanted to talk to someone with the same understanding of the world as a toddler i'd go teach pre-school.
I do understand what a hate group is, what I am saying is that if someone believes something to be true like BLM is a hate centric movement against non blacks. Do you really think facts or logic are going to change their mind? Or alter their perception that said movement is hate related?this post doesn't really say anything, other than you don't understand what a hate group is. should google it or something.

I went to Texas A&M Aggies can be insanely racist and some are even open about being neo nazis, but ask them point blank they will not consider themselves racist or part of a hate group. Just a party with ooposesing ideologies, unfortunately personal perception trumps reality.
In an ideal world facts would trump emotional bias I agree, but we do not live in an ideal world we live in the real word, and in such a world emotional bias that conforms to ones comfort zone will always trump logic, and it is naive to think because something is factual incorrect people will not defend or find allies that will agree with their stance.
In the end as mentioned any group can be a hate group just depends on who you ask. This is not a wrong statement, it is a said one, but this is the world we live in. Which is part of the issue with current American politics, people need to come to terms with the fact that what 72 million people that voted for Trump exist and have a wrapped perception of how the world works, but telling them they are wrong or idiots really is not the way to go about getting support or changing their minds.
Would be nice but sadly we cannot just discredit such a large portion of our population because their views are “stupid”

i didn't call someone an idiot to try and change their mind, i called them an idiot because they're an idiot. it's not that deep.
reality exists, people who say it doesn't aren't worth my time to give a shit about. it's not a debate about concepts that don't have a readily studied answer to them, it's a debate about whether or not 2+2=fish or 4. in other words: it's stupid.

This is true, but objectively society views hate groups as those who practice hatred and hostility (violence can be included) against people of a gender, ethnicity, religion, country, gender, or sexual identity. Under those views, there is a clear line for what is designated as a hate group. Also yeah they can, because sadly being as hate is an emotion, which is inherently bias around a personal belief if someone believes something to be true they will believe it. Do not get me wrong I do not agree with the stance, and I do agree that we have a society norm as to what is a hate group and what is not. What I am saying is some do not share that norm, yet by in large still make up a sizable portion of the population, and the size of the group to a degree does give their position some sense of leverage depending on the area. Sure powers that be may wag their finger and say no you are wrong, but that does not alter their own perception and in some cases may even validate their stance in their eyes and the eyes of their supporters. This is true, but objectively society views hate groups as those who practice hatred and hostility (violence can be included) against people of a gender, ethnicity, religion, country, gender, or sexual identity. Going to get hate for this, but we live in a world were a victims truth by some is still considered to be true even if the evidence does not support their claims. Their reality their truth. I have seen the same mindset follow with groups and moments. The scary things is personal perception of a concept that someone believes is not as simple as well facts say this, so clearly you are wrong.
Sure they are wrong, but yeah if they do not personally believe they are wrong and have supports that buy into their claims or beliefs in their minds they are not wrong. Which is a tough nut to crack. Thus not 100% sure where the opposition stems from.
I never said it was a correct stance, all I said was any group “can” be a hate group just depends on who you ask. Some people may not have the same designates that everyone else has in place. So by their own metric a group could be seen as a hate group.
