Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

I hope if anything is mentioned about female viera and hrothgar hairstyles that it's a mix of the designers creating unique hairstyles since it's more like 'fur' (I think this was mentioned? idr tbh) as well as the mogstation ones/ earned styles that folks can get

for Hrothgar, more hairs of course but also interchangeable hairs that can be altered at an barber rather than fantasia

They are everything I wanted elezen to be. I'm thinking some elezen players are going to switch to viera for that reason.

I am thinking very strongly about going male viera since I like the hairstyles I've seen (same is not true for the females) and the viera are more like elves than elves in FFXIV.

I AM worried they will have the body shape of the male Au ra though.

Why? We've seen the model. I don't think they're built like Au Ra.

I thought their blush emote looked like the Miqo'te animation so my bet is on them using that for their hempen gear and minor emotes.

They have male miqo'te running too.

As for Au Ra look at their waists. Right now it's hard to tell due to their gear, though. Male Au Ra gear also hides the hip/thigh area.



Now don't get me wrong, some sort of hour-glass like shape on a muscular but slender male figure is fine and makes sense and the model as seen here looks great.

I am down for any body shape as long as gear looks natural on it (many sets do not look natural on male Au Ra).

Okay, I see what you mean; their arms look skinnier though and the head-vs-shoulder width ratio is different, which is the thing I think really affects Au Ra gear because their chest shape means collars end up very oversized.

We'll have to wait and see.

(I have an Au Ra alt and I'm quite picky about what suits him, so hopefully Viera will fit a different niche.)

I’ll be swapping to male Viera, very ready for that, but I do have a Hrothgar alt. And I would very much like it if they could at least swap the hair that share the same face shape at the barber. At the VERY least.

I'm interested & lowkey excited to see male viera- honestly, I'd have happily waited longer to get male viera if it meant hrothgar & viera fixes now- I don't intend to play a male viera but that may change!
