Ye because it's easier to blame someone else than admit that you suck. "I'm perfect and the game has to adapt to ME"
Alodos does have a point there. People who complain about mechanics being too hard are the first ones that get the attention of the Dev Team.
Remember the Coincounter Boss from Aurum Vale? He is a good example of that and it wouldnt suprise me one bit, if it was casual players complaining about the nontelegraphed attacks being BS.
"FFXIV is not for hardcore players"
Well certainly not since Yoshida took over, and it was definitely "streamlined" a lot to be focused more and more on people who seem to generally dislike PvE content to the point they think anything that requires a fixed party to be cleared, pre-planning or isn't a hallway sim meant to last 15 mins is bad content.
There is a huge difference in the focus from 2.X, even 3.X and everything since Stormblood. IDK why defenders pretend it's always been this way when it clearly changed.
Not sure why people necro'd this, but alas
I'd like to think the game is for everybody. Your way is not better than their way. Unironically coming up with a thread full of confirmation biased arguments is an incredible narcissistic way to say "the game was made for me".
It's wasn't exactly for hardcore players before yoship. There wasn't anything to do in the game lol..."FFXIV is not for hardcore players"

He's been in charge since what, 1.08?
Content is casual as standard with optional challenging versions. It's really been that way since Heavensward. If you want your challenges that take weeks of progression you can go and unlock them.
The problem is, the OP is an ultimate/savage raider, with clears. They've just never posted on their main account. Always alt accounts.
They know, they are just a bored troll with nothing better to do with their time while their rmt bots make them billion of gil. .
I just wish core game mechanics required more than one braincell. You want to tank? Turn on your tank stance and DPS and never worry about aggro. You want to heal? Too bad there's no constant party damage and most mechanics are easily predictable/avoidable so you just DPS.
I'm not saying the game should be hardcore because it shouldn't, but it's really dumbed down.
Very much agreed with everything you posted.I just wish core game mechanics required more than one braincell. You want to tank? Turn on your tank stance and DPS and never worry about aggro. FFXIV is too easy imo. And the overworld is so lifeless and bland, only dangerous enemies in the overworld is n A or an S rank
I get on FFXIV, play for 6 mins and immediately get bored and wonder why i paid for a subscription
I get off FFXIV and log onto FFXI
FFXI is a much better adventure MMO than XIV
Not all content in the game is push a button to clear, but thanks for trying.I just wish core game mechanics required more than one braincell. You want to tank?
