Reality disagrees with you. And it's easily proven when you read anywhere FFXIV is mentioned. "GCBTW" wasn't just conjured out of thin air as a meme, it's based on the communities actions. We arnt Zealots, chill out with that nonsense. We are just FFXIV players that enjoy our game and want others to enjoy it as well. And a few bad actors dont represent the FFXIV community as a whole.
Your post reads like you just want to take down anything positive about this game, over a small group of trolls.

Which part of the "community" are you speaking of? NA? EU? JP? Pretty sure EU and JP has nothing to do with this. Then again the majority of NA community has nothing to do with this either. So, which part of FF "community" are you indicating?
The part that you all pretend isn't representing you on the internet as soon as it becomes inconvenient for you.
EDIT: anyway, I'm done with this. I'm probably near my daily post limit anyway.

How is 5 people's action and new sprouts indicative of the rest of the community? Huh?

That still doesn't clue me in on what you hope to achieve by proving that FFXIV is toxic.
Apparently you didn't read it very carefully considering they list their pronouns as She/Her or They/Them.

I have to say as someone who has been playing WoW since Burning Crusades and FFXIV since A Realm Reborn, other than on the forums, I've never really seen much toxicity on either game personally. Other than rampant nonsense on the global channels in wow (which I ignored or would read to roll my eyes and chuckle at) and the very occasional rude person in a dungeon or raid through the group finder, most everyone I ever met in WoW were nice friendly people. I did get told on the WoW forums it was because I didn't do anything 'important,' like Mythic+ or Heroic/Mythic raiding, and that could very well be part of it as those things aren't what I enjoy doing. One of my most recent nicest memories is I had been trying to get the Remornia battle pet off the last raid boss in LFR for weeks, but RNG and I are not very good friends (I have 4 characters at max level and geared well for 4 attempts a week) and I kinda sighed in the group chat about missing it again for the week and suddenly, my trade window opened and someone who had gotten it gave it to me. They made my week!
In FF I recently decided to run the entire story again as an alt, and again, have had so many positive helpful encounters. I put up PFs for the different trials to go faster, super nice people join and help, and give encouragement.
Are there toxic/rude/bad players in both games? Of course there are, this is a multiplayer game, and where they are people, you are going to have the good and the bad, and since this is the internet, you are going to see more bad because people think they can get away with behaviour through the screen that they wouldn't do in real life.

Funny how this work: when something bad happen in that other game is the whole community doing it, when something similar happen here is just a few and they don't represent the majority.

Almost all of the people blocking him were brand new sprouts. Just his own community that made a lot of trial accounts to crowd around him.
How can I be sure they were new? Their names would be quickly reported if they had been playing long and most of their names contained a play on his name.
It doesn't really reflect on the FF community at all.
Can we maybe not paint everyone with the same brush? I wasn't there.. were you? No? Ok, great.. with minimal effort we've already found two people not participating in this debacle. And I'm willing to bet a majority of the FFXIV "community" was not interested in following this streamer around.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the issue isn't FFXIV players or WoW players.. it's simply people occupying planet Earth. You're going to find good and bad apples no matter where you go. It doesn't take a streamer to show you that; anyone who thought otherwise has been kidding themselves.
