Were 4-stage upgradeable weapon storylines thought of in the planning stages? I can understand them not being implemented from a development resources standpoint, but I would like to know if the idea was at least thought about. Nier Automata has a unique weapon aesthetic, and Drakengard has many weapon types in general, (almost all of the FFXIV weapon types already!), so this seemed like a missed opportunity to make the Nier raid special and distinct from the other raid series.

What is the deal with that ending? Many people found it underwhelming, baffling, and unsatisfying, with many plot threads unresolved. Was that intentional?

What was the line of thought in deciding upon weekly quests after the third raid? There weren't very many and not much more story was there to be had, not like say beast tribe quests, so what justified this decision? And why couldn't we fight machine lifeforms in the raid dungeon solo instances to make the quest padding more exciting? That way it would feel like a dangerous expedition for the scrap metal.

Why not do a player deletion mechanic to save a raid wipe (either our own or another group's run in the future)? It would be entirely optional and would make for epic moments, especially if caught on streams, so why not do it for the sheer lols? Few people would delete a level 80 character, so its rarity would make for lots of excitement if actually witnessed.

Could you add robot fish in fishing spots to Kholusia in the future? Or how about random encounters of an Emil head rolling around, like Alpha and Omega?

Why so much black blindfold gear when Copied Factory already did that across the board? Why not more Nier Replicant or Drakengard gear for variety's sake?

Why was the ending affected by server-wide statistics I had no idea were in play, instead of being based on the player's personal choices like usual? And were skipped cutscenes why the results were so lopsided in the same way across all the servers? How was this data collected and calculated?

Many people here are asking for a flight unit mount, but I have a better idea: why not a mount of the many-chested multi-tier type machine lifeform towers found in the mountain/desert areas of Nier Automata? Those were always a sight to behold, and FFXIV has yet to get a mount in such a bizarre shape.

Does the P in 2P stand for anything?

What is the TRUE pronunciation of "automata"?
