Have u tried any of the cloud based platforms. i have personaly played division 2, destiny 2 and ESO on stadia, and io cant say that the latency is notisably worse on there than on pc or ps4.Not as much as you may think.
the latency would be terrible. because you'd have latency from your home to the cloud server thats hosting the game. and then even more latency to whatever game server you're character is based. It's the biggest thing holding cloud based gaming back. because the internet infrastructure just cant cope. for single players games its significantly less noticable but any multiplayer or server based stuff becomes a nightmare.. one of the main reasons google ditched its stadia project because gamers just laugh at it and dont take it seriously. its why shadow and many other services have also gone bankrupt. gamers just dont use them because latency is such a big issue
So why would it be different with ffxiv ?

It's definitely noticable. how much so depends on your internet connection to start with i guess and what your used to but this might help

NOt the greatest video but it does highlight the biggest issue with cloud gaming. and this focuses more on single player games. if you factor in multiplayer then it just gets worse as you than have to factor in the latency to the games multiplayer server
