You know those players who think that if there aren't any GCD heals on your cast bar you aren't healing? Well, I had the misfortune of encountering one of those who also happened to be a combat mentor. Level 80 roulette, which I hadn't done in at least a couple months, threw me into Anamnesis Anyder, which I hadn't done in more than a couple months. We wiped once, on the first boss, and only because I'd panicked on the boss' arrow mechanic. I was keeping everyone alive with regens, mostly, with the occasional OGCD heal mixed in as needed. Except for me failing boss mechanics (and a first-timer failing the water hand mechanic on the last boss), nobody died and anove all, nobody died to trash. The "mentor" straight up told me several times to focus less on DPS and more on healing in spite of the constant regen application. Was annoying as all hell and I can guarantee they didn't deserve their crown.

Good healer:*uses their plethora of ocgds to keep tank/party alive plus their own dps, is probably leading in dps aggro*

Met another one of those white mages who think cure III replaces cure II. Of course I get the silent treatment when I told them because naturally I don't pay their sub right. I tried to be nice/informative about it because sooner or later they will get people killed due to their MP mismanagement.

So in Ridorana Lighthouse this idiot dancer died on Construct 7 failing the math phases each time then died a thousand times on Yiazmat getting nailed by basically every mechanic? The healer kept having to spam rez this person, losing precious mana and cooldowns. The dancer promised to uninstall and let's hope they do because we really don't need this person in queues when they've apparently done Ridorana several times.

I was gonna but then I realized that would mean going back to WoW. And I do still like WoW and I used to raid mythic but now I'm old and tired man.

You can always try SOLO, just a few days left
Or just deinstall and reinstall, you never said it would be a permanent thing.

I've had these runs when I just kept dying to the easiest things. Escpecially embarassing if I queued with people to help them fill a group faster and then ended up being the no 1 hindrance.

Mentor roulette consistently makes me puzzle over how some people are unable to follow even the most basic instructions.

One of the recurring issues I run into is tanks not understanding "tank on the very edge" or "tank on the waymark" when it comes to the Garuda EX adds, and they instead just leave one of them around the middle which results in their defense buff being too high to kill them before they destroy the rocks and/or melt the MT with their synchronized Wicked Wheel.

This happens even with people who actually respond and acknowledge the statement.

Some people just say they understand but don't actually - though honestly, most probably just aren't even looking at party chat or listening.

Had a DNC in Dusk Vigil last night who was newish, hadn't done the dungeon before (cutscenes were being watched). Told her before the pull of the last boss, to get behind rocks when it started casting Whirling Gaol. Watched her consistently not even try to move behind one, even when seeing the rest of us doing so. I tried Rescuing her at one point but I suppose if you're already caught in the Gaol, it won't go through? Had a big nice ol' "Miss!" on my screen. They got hit by every single Gaol the griffon cast, along with Winds of Winter, and repeatedly ran Freefall over rocks on top of it.

She ofc ended up dying to the last Gaol it casted before we killed it. I kinda just left her on the floor for those few seconds we shaved the last bit of HP off, maybe it gave her some time to read chat and realize. x.x;

A story from roughly 3 hours ago: Tower at Paradigm's Breach.

Running with 4 of my friends as a NIN (me), SCH, AST, SAM, & RDM; matched into Alliance A. Everything seems gucci until we meet the double Hangry which literally pound us hard because for some reason only 1 tank(C's) doing their job properly while the other two perhaps sleeping. I glanced over our party enmity order....PLD's is on the first, but why isn't the boss targeting her? The boss was targeting one of B's DPS and one-shotted them several times. Only when I decide to stop attacking for good few seconds to pay attention what actually happened, the B's tank name briefly appears on the boss' main target everytime our PLD provoked before it quickly switches to one of B's DPS.

It was a total mess that the whole raid literally took 51m to clear, albeit most time are spent on trying to deal with the chaos vs Hangry. Shortly after those twin boss was history, Alliance B dismisses their tank and said: "Our tank was trolling. We kicked them."

I do have to say: their tankbuster tastes like roasted depression. At least floor is my faithful companion, always.... /cries
