Nope. Even Yoshi P has said this in interviews multiple times. I find it insulting to the people that played from 1.0 up to 2.0 that stayed with the MMO unlike myself who dealt with a truly terribly designed MMO.

I'm confused, are you trying to imply that 1.0 was better than what we have now?
I'd be curious to see the story at least- if they could condense it into some sort of NG+ style thing I think that'd be great.
I dunno if a full blown classic would even be possible at this point, and I doubt it'd get much interest. Keep in mind a lot of the interest for WoW classic/TBC/WotLK stems from those being when WoW had millions of players and was growing up until it crashed in Cata- FFXIV 1.0 was the opposite, its players shrunk and shrunk until the game died. Very different situations.
Another thing is- WoW constantly removes and revamps massive chunks of the game- you can't even do vanilla content in retail, and everything before Shadowlands is utterly trivial in all ways. FFXIV keeps and builds on the story/dungeons/etc..., you can always do an of level old raid here, the story's always there and relevant- there are changes to classes but its not like WoW where a class in classic is unrecognizable to it in retail (just look at survival hunters- the classic, Cata and WoD versions are utterly different- then the Legion onward it's not even ranged dps it's a melee class).
