This Fox exercises its right to remain silent when any asks what does it say
I'm just running scenarios in my head about this last rescue. Skalla. I'm PLD. Final boss uses the proximity based attack and I don't even move. SCH rescues me away from it. I'm not used to getting rescued from it because I literally never move the entire fight except to dodge the vuln from the claw swipe (and I probably don't even need to do that). Cooldowns turn the proximity attack to tickle levels of damage.
I'm sure they were just helping. But my rotation
Wonder if they were thinking "They aren't moving, could be oblivious or ignorant". Nope! It just doesn't hurt tanks, doubly so if cooldowns are used.
I got the Elidibus trial on RDM. The healers, a tank and a DPS died at the first Fire attack. I thought it was weird but I super quickly Verraised the healers and the tank. I was about to Verraise the dead DPS when the other tank said: "Just wipe and restart." People listened and started dying on purpose. I was staring at the screen thinking: "Seriously? I just wasted all that MP for nothing." I'm not proud of it but I left the party, I've never felt so unappreciated.![]()
Professional lurker.
Sometimes being a RDM is like being a tank or healer. It's a thankless job.I got the Elidibus trial on RDM. The healers, a tank and a DPS died at the first Fire attack. I thought it was weird but I super quickly Verraised the healers and the tank. I was about to Verraise the dead DPS when the other tank said: "Just wipe and restart." Now you see, I said this before but when I play as Healer, I honestly prefer runs like these instead of when everything is just silky smooth; it'd make for a much more involving and entertaining gaming session, hahaha.Forgot to post: I ran a legendary wod last night where we wiped on the first pack of trash.
We had one sprout tank that apparently didn’t speak English or has his chat on ignore, a warriorbro tank that was paying attention, and (unfortunately) me scrambling to figure out how to salvage the wreck.
I have no idea what was going on in the other two parties, but it was a circus. Healers dying left and right, hardcasting healers, Cerberus was a disaster with belly not getting done and the add tank not being healed, pingponging hate on early bosses where the tanks overcorrected from the disastrous first pull, and entire parties not looking away from the doom mechanic on the eye boss.
It was beautiful. Somehow the only boss we needed a second try on was Cerberus, but we got way too close more than I’m comfortable recalling.
Was on the 6 level 60s dungeons for my relic, spammed Antitower on WHM.
Out of the 6 runs I got a single pulling tank 3 times, one even going as far as waiting for mitigation to come up before a pull, using it all prepull and then running in. The first pull melted in about 10s, the mobs barely got the chance to hit the tank once thanks to the Holy stuns.
But better be careful, something might suddenly almost one shot you.
The RDM kept trying to get them to just go wall to wall but they ignored everything and at some point, the RDM lost it and just started pulling. Tank stayed behind until mitigation was up and then came running after us - when the pull was already dead. Wasn't even a new player/ returner and had two other tanks at 80.
It was still a fast step but the 3 runs with single pulls felt like a slog.
I don't think they do, at least not in this context. It's just frequently used as a cheap way to shoot down anyone that's saying something they didn't want to hear and that includes something that got said in a friendly or neutral way. Even simple things like "stance" in party chat when the tank is pulling is often enough met with "chill -.-". Some feel immediately watched and judged if someone suggests or asks if they may suggest something.
I've learned a lot of things by reading things that weren't even directed at me because I was on a different class, like using Arm's Lengths defensively, using Peloton after pulls, using party mitigation in big pulls aswell, using Verthunder II/ Veraero II in aoe to trigger dualcast etc.; mostly minor things, aside from the RDM aoe because I didn't check my spellbook properly. But helpful all the same.
There is a lot of passive-aggressiveness because of the strict ToS but it's used as a buzz word by now for pretty much anything that someone didn't like.

This single pull tank sounds like a bot.
You can simply check a bot by pulling a boss and then go outside again.
When he doesn't follow you out again or doesn't complain, then it is a bot.
It wasn't a bot, I checked. It was an actual player. All of them were.
He even wrote in party chat, he just ignored everything the RDM suggested.
Welcome to being a RDM. You could be the reason a whole party even completes a fight and you'll get a "thank you healers!" comment at the end with no comms.I got the Elidibus trial on RDM.
