Reason people ask is sometimes tips are not appreciated. I said the same thing to an archer in praetorium (yes, archer) and their response was “don’t tell me what to do, I don’t care.”
I'm [1], obviously, but I just want to reiterate what I said in that image that if you have a tip/advice, just say it (in a good way, of course, not forceful). In this case, the tip seems to be received positively, but even if not, like I said in that image, just say it anyway for other people's benefit.
Even so, maybe another player could benefit. You could introduce it, like, "Just in case you don't know,..." If they don't care, there's no negative to putting that tip out to the other players.
I’ve yet to have a kick fail to go through when that’s the response to a suggestion like that.
Unfortunately praetorium is such that initiating the kick vote is the biggest challenge, though i've no doubt it would've gone through had i been able to get it to start in the first place.
You’ll see more of this as we lead up to endwalker. There’s a lot of people just leveling to level out of habit or maybe because they want too be the cool kids that has everything leveled (and can’t play any of them.) Maybe they want the mount. Why are there so many veteran or players with many level 80 jobs leveled up being rude or trolling in Duty Finder lately?
I have invited many family and friends into the big world of Eorzea and well ummm. Hmm. How to place this. They have not been having the best of times, more close to the worst of times. It is making many not wish to play as much and this is sadness inducing. I just finished helping one of them level paladin in Haukke Manor where I became soooo fricken feisty I rescued the dps into the boss. They were standing in the center of the room spinning spinning away doing nothing and auto attacking during pulls. This person had multiple jobs level 80. No disembowel no life surge no lance charge. I almost ran out of mana in Haukke Manor of all the places. The pulls took sooooo long I was able to use essential dignity three times!
No, I was not cure botting either if there is curiosity. I had one percent overheal for the entire duration of the dungeon. It was getting so bad I had to resort to Benific 1 or the mana would be gone. Yes, I did almost do more deeps then the dragoon even while pumping the tank so full of Benific 2 and Essential Dignity they will be feeling those heals for months. Ohhhh right! After rescuing the dragoon and our tank asking if they were alright or lagging we got one response. "Yes." Buuuuuut suddenly, disembowel! Ohh there it is, lance charge and even life surge! That lag magically vanished the moment someone said something, I suppose. Most curious..
Either way, don’t be shy to kick them if they aren’t willing to put in the effort you are. If there are more than one, though, it’s on you to decide if you’ll just bail on them.
Sometimes a nice 30 minute break is the best solution. I personally recommend beastmen dailies.
I find the best time to initiate the kick is right before Nero, or right after him. If you are quick enough you can get it going before a new cutscene starts.
Forgot to post: I ran a legendary wod last night where we wiped on the first pack of trash.
We had one sprout tank that apparently didn’t speak English or has his chat on ignore, a warriorbro tank that was paying attention, and (unfortunately) me scrambling to figure out how to salvage the wreck.
I have no idea what was going on in the other two parties, but it was a circus. Healers dying left and right, hardcasting healers, Cerberus was a disaster with belly not getting done and the add tank not being healed, pingponging hate on early bosses where the tanks overcorrected from the disastrous first pull, and entire parties not looking away from the doom mechanic on the eye boss.
It was beautiful. Somehow the only boss we needed a second try on was Cerberus, but we got way too close more than I’m comfortable recalling.
