Could highlanders and elezen get a revamp? Show support!

Honestly the only revamp that I would welcome are the running animations for Elezen. They look really stiff and bad overall... I wonder if anyone actually likes tem.

On the other hand, the options are in dire need for additions.

Most races only having 04 faces is really bad when the detail options (mouth, nose, eyes...) makes little to no difference. There's very little that you can do to create distinct faces.

The hair color wheel needs an update with more shades. The options are deceptively vast right now... You think that there's a lot, but in the end, it's just the same hue (row) with different saturation and a second version of the row with the color washed out. There's no vibrant ginger hair color, for example. There's no deep brown. All of those are missing hues.

There are inconsistencies with the options we have right now. Miqo male face 04 got permanent side-eye markings... Yet the face 01 got the same thing, but optional. What gives?

Throwing my support for more character customization in. I would especially love an elezen revamp because their proportions look so off, but I don't see it happening (I'd love to be proven wrong though). Elves are supposed to look good, but they don't in this game. If there was a third subrace for elezen that basically looked like Hilda, that'd be cool.

Revamp? Nah. But they certainly need some updates like literally every other race does.

That is uh, another meaning for the word revamp. (renovate, rebuild, update ..w/e) Yeah, every race could use an update ,but I feel like that's a lot to ask of the team. They could address the ones in dire need first.

Most of the faces are ugly, I noticed that almost every one has the same face for their race.

honestly everything after 1.0 (male miqo'te, female roegadyn, aura, viera, hrothgar) have just straight up better animations, proportions, and scaling. compare the run animations of male miqote to male hyur or highlander, and they'll feel so stiff in comparison. they're just so springy and have so much life and personality behind them

That's the exact same problem I had with Elezen, I tried pretty much every other race at some point but I know that I can't stick with those proportions.

The shoulders are too wide which consequently makes their head look even tinier than it actually is and it severely limits your glamour options because god forbid you use something with pauldrons. The Alexandrian Coat of Fending (best tank chest in the game btw, SE give me more of those) just looks comical on female Elezen with this gigantic pauldron.

That said however I think it's very unlikely that they will change them at this point, most people who actually enjoy playing Elezen probably wouldn't like it if their race suddenly had completely different proportions.

I just think SE doesn't know how to do elves right. Elvaans in XI always looked like they had a broom up their rear and could barely move at all. Elezen in XIV are basically the same.
I also agree that races from ARR and on look and feel way better. Male Miqo'te's running animation for example is very well done, with what feels like actual weight to their steps instead of floating on the ground.

Hopefully they'll consider updating the races at some point in the future and also add more customization options in the process.
