I don't know how twitch works, but maybe they have to be partners to make any money off of subs? Or be part of twitch promos? This is exactly what i didn’t get. Why do they have it as like, the biggest streamers? Why not take this as an opportunity to help lesser known streamers? I mean i guess i already know the answer, money of course, but it’s just sad to see this is the campaign they choose of all things.

The simple answer is their only concern is finding streamers with the biggest reach, for cheap/free advertisement. Why would anyone at SE care about a "talented" person or a "BIPOC" if they're not going to draw in a large enough crowd? The following question/suggestion pertains to the latest twitch event: https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...2acaa091904f1e
I know that a sub-campaign to get a rare mount is great and all, but how was the list of streamers selected for the event? They are all good people that were, but so many others missed out on the opportunity, and there was barely any BIPOC representation.
For future events, would it be possible for the FFXIV community to come forward to suggest people for events like these to the community team? I appreciate the 'higher view accounts' will get priority for the most part, but there are a lot of talented people that get overlooked and could honestly do with getting the recognition that they deserve.

I'd rather just pay $20 on the mogstation to get the mount than have to go to the cesspool that is Twitch.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Glad I already got the black Choco. I have never watch twitch and this isn't going to get me to start

I kinda feel bad for those on the list but weren't streaming at the time that it started; literally everyone was gifting to Zepla, Happy, mtq, Meoni, etc. Now I think most of them do deserve it, but there are definitely people that aren't even on that list that are quite popular with others that aren't gonna get anything.
Also why did they choose the black one again? The white one hasn't been available for quite awhile.

Nice to see one Finnish streamer on the list. Gave her my 5 subs. 4 gifts and 1 prime.
I don't like Twitch but have account for Prime TV and World of Tanks Twitch rewards

It's fantastic a new ugly mount...
I already have the 3k recommandation mount that I never use.

One way for EU to get their fat black chocobo I suppose.
WHM | RDM | DNC

I dunno but they are offering a mount that was already offered during another event (i think for less or no money) and I passed on it back then so there's no real incentive for me. I only watch outside ff content for: music, guides, official previews. The rest of the time I'm too busy playing. *Shrugs*
