Having trouble registering for the forum, the online form, keeps telling me that one of the fields was marked as spam?

It should work now, I had to put some crazy spam countermeasures in place recently, which stopped the spam but apparently caused the problem you ran into. Try it again now though, it should work for you.

If it still happens, wait a few minutes and refresh the registration page so that the anti-spam image is visible. I think the problem is that if you enter some info and something gets flagged, the anti-spam image disappears. From there you'll continue to run into that message saying a field is considered spam. Previously after a few attempts you'd be locked out. I just increased the number of attempts before it locks you out. I was able to successfully register a test account just now though.

I never really understood the whole formal application thing. Can't you just chat with them in-game about the stuff you want to know before inviting them?

We have our reasoning for the application but it's not what you think. Since we're global LS, the website serves as a communication hub for us outside of the game. I have found that it's much more difficult to get folks to sign-up for the website after they are in the LS than beforehand. If members don't have a forum account they miss out on a lot of information about linkshell events and so forth.

The application process itself actually serves as a way to get information out to my officers and to the applicant. It's not really for approval/denial based on it's contents.

So i filled out the application ect, received an e-mail saying it was successful, so what now ? lol
