I would very much welcome more exclusive items.
It keeps the game feeling alive.

But sadly, this seems to not be a popular opinion.

I've wanted something like WoW's Mage Tower challenge to pop up. In fact I wanted WoW to have another Mage Tower challenge.

I have! While they're in the same spirit, they're not exactly encounters tuned to your specific job/role. Definitely not the same in having multi-phases to learn and work through.
