My only complaint is that Jump has this weird necessity to put you *back* in your original position after executing it, which lengthens the animation lock to take both weave slots. It also locks Jump out of being able to be used as a gap closer.

None of the other jump actions do this, and I can't fathom a situation a melee would want to return to their original position after casting what is essentially a damaging gap closer. Get in and out of an aoe, maybe? This game's netcode doesn't support that kind of play either way.

But that's just me whining, the job is very fun at most 50+ levels

It actually doesn't increase the animation lock time at all. The Dragoon will still do the same animation and the move back into position is part of that animation, same animation, same GCD lock.

As for Double weaving, yes, Jump has a long animation which prevents double weaving, however, once you get High Jump, you can, just about. This assumes you haven't made your DRG very fast (My GCD is 2.44 for reference).

However, returning to their original position after using it is silly They could have at the very least made it so that High Jump could change your position.
