What confusion? That info was there for everyone to read. This argument ignores that they could have used any other vendor than the Moogle vendor with Irregular tomestones and people would have known to not expect the precedent.
They chose to use the Moogle Treasure tag, the vendor, the same acquisition methods (even if tomes were doubled), so it's not a far stretch for most people familiar with Moogle Tomes to expect the late exchange they were used to for previous events.
They could have whipped up a quick Fanfest only vendor and given us Fanfest coins and people wouldn't have expected that.
This is besides the point that asking for a grace period isn't really worth everyone coming in to argue that we don't deserve it for "not reading" when there were any number of things that could have been done to reduce confusion.

1) This is not in-game, and that is assuming that players are watching the full broadcast in order to see that mention. (I did not)1) You were told it was time-limited during the Fanfest broadcast
2) It was on the Login page, available daily
3) It was on the Lodestone webpage, available daily
4) It was told to you in the login window after entering your world, daily
5) You were told in this forum in another post on the last day
6) You completely ignored all of this, on your own behalf
2) The login page did not include that the exchange period was limited time. It showed the start/end, but not that the exchange was different from any other Moogle Tome event.
3) In my earlier post in this thread I showed how easy it is to miss that bubble on the Lodestone page, but it is only in one spot halfway down, completely out of sight if you are looking at any of the items available to exchange. I'm not saying it isn't there, but it is very easy to miss.
4) The exchange being limited time was not mentioned in the in-game login message, the normal event start/end was.
5) If you check my post count it is very obvious I am not active on the forums. For the same reason I missed the Twitter message from the official account.
6) I actually did open the lodestone page near the start of the event, scrolled to the item list (missing the notice about the merchant time), and did not spend an hour re-reading as it was a Moogle Tome event and I was used to how those functioned.
This is the only one I can very much admit is my fault, but it's not like it was a very hard mistake to make.
Fault lies with me, sure, but it's not a reason for me (or anyone else here) to not ask for forgiveness from Sqenix.
Same as above.
