My duty finder story begins and ends with a photo, because frankly, that whole Dungeon run was NSFW (joking).

Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]
I, unironically, love World of Darkness and have been queuing for it manually A LOT during the last Moogle Event because it really is a raid that just exposes people for the filthy casuals that they're. Seeing them succeed is nice I guess, but the salt in those raids though and seeing unknowingly sprouts be exposed? I must confess it's very entertaining. Plenty of laughs on my end as well when raids fail the flare mechanic on the last boss in LotA. Made farming tomes NOT feel like farming at all. Good times.![]()
Player
Had my first afk today. He'd teleport to the boss room after sitting at the zone in. Thing is, i know he was at the keyboard because when someone suggested kicking him he left.
Who the heck AFKs Sastasha?
I've had a couple very interesting Qarn runs this week, both in the context of leveling roulette. Both times I'd queued as NIN. First run was a few days ago, where I had two speouts and a returner (MCH, WAR, and SCH). That run went incredibly well, aside from a small hiccup on the first boss because I forgot about the Doom mechanic. It was the WAR's first time going through the dungeon so I offered up advice as needed since he was proving willing to learn. Got three commendations from that run. Second run was less than ideal. DRK, WHM, and BLM. DRK was handing out advice like candy which for the most part the two speouts followed, but the WHM was just bad. No Regen casts, hardly any Aero casts, and for some reason they were wearing SMN relic gear. More than once did the tank die on their watch and I had to turn into NIN tank. Got two commendations out of that run, likely from the WHM and the BLM.
Kaplan Zereort, the Forever Penniless
Meredith Cross, the BunBun Tank
Himeko Murata, the PantslessHealerGreen DPS
Had an interesting Paradigms a few days ago. I usually run it ranged for ease but I wanted to be sure I get the striking gear I want so I've been running mnk lately.
I got these two healers,a whm and ast .... I'm not sure if they were veteren healers or complete jerks because I could probably count their aoe heals in the total raid on two hands between both of them.
A lot of people on our alliance were dropping repeatedly because they made a mistake here or there and dropped when the raid wides went out because couldn't survive the no heals.
It was certainly an interesting experience because it forced me to be 100 percent present in what I'm doing. I mantrad every major raid wide and my second wind and bloodbaths were constantly on cooldown.
I played perfectly the whole raid... except I died to the Red Girls firing balls out of the train phase because tanks never drag the boss away from right in front of them (I don't even know if they can tbh) which of course gives melee barely any time to react to said balls while also paying attention to distortion.
I was pretty salty while it was happening but I did kinda have fun with the added challenge.
My run through Paradigm's Breach this week was pretty bad, at least for my own group, so I feel ya. I think it was a double WHM team in my group, but they were...something. I'm pretty sure my party got carried across the finish line by the other two. lol I went in on RDM and was in maintenance mode almost the entire time trying to get everyone back up. Well, when I was actually alive at least. Thankfully I didn't die as much as everyone else but I hit the floor more than a couple times from a complete lack of healing. Vercure could only get me so far with everyone dying constantly and being low on MP. I tried though, I really did. On the plus side I finally got the casting top which I've been trying to get for weeks.Had an interesting Paradigms a few days ago. I am about to run multiple (potentially) of that specific raid just so I can get my striking top. I can only imagine how painful it is if I happen to get matched with bad apples. Ugh...please no... (But I know it will happen, one way or another Q_Q)

Anyhow... another story to humor & to stay on topic: Great Gubal Library
Rolled as a SCH, the roulette graces me with:In most of the run's duration, there are no real trouble. I do wish the DRK would wall pull because mobs barely hit hard in this dungeon. Sometime after the 1st boss, the DRK decides to pull more than 1 pack. A bit surprised, I took that as a sign of growing comfort with mobbing. However, shortly after pulling the first pack beyond 2nd boss, they run, run, then STOPS few yalms from the next pack's aggro range. I was late to double back and aggroed them by accident, ouchy... damn. I wish they're more consistent in this doing, don't confuse me
- A DNC --- the best of the bunch
- A Sprout-first timer DRG --- Does not use any single AoE weaponskills, at all.
- A returner DRK --- the classic 'you pull; you tank' player.
They weren't even pulling the mobs off from me and just went to the next pack after the first pack was dead. Okay...well fine. Tanked those before as a RDM
I'm good.
At 2nd half of the boss is when all hell break loose. The first half of orb mechanic spared the DRK and the DRG; it targeted the DNC and myself, twice. No sweat, we place the orb accordingly and continue doing our own things. The third time (before the book summons 2 glowing 3-person arcane circle), the RNG chosen the DRG and the DRK instead. Yikes, just yikes.
DRG eats dirt being murdered by their own 2 orbs. Same goes with the DRK after stacking 5 vulns. The arcane circle ended up summoning two adds uninterrupted. I tried to res the DRK but Lustrate does not connect even though I saw those green digits before they eat dirt again (SERVER TICK, WHY?!). We ended the run shortly after by kiting the two adds (yay for Ruin II :P) separately between myself and the DNC as we chip off the boss' less than 5% HP at that point.
My comm goes to the DNC.
Sycrus Tower just now. Felt like half the raid was afk. We even wiped to Glasya Labolas "Enrage". Glasya Labolas! I've never seen this happen before.

Wow, I haven't actually seen Glasya Labolas do any of his actually interesting mechanics since Heavensward.
