Of course it's good to have the option of parsing yourself. If nothing else, it allows you to plug it into xiva and get an in-depths analysis.

And that's another thing. For example, I have a friend who logs every single run, no matter what they're running, but doesn't upload a single one ever 9as ranked thus visible to others without link). They just use them for analysis and link them to anybody in the run who wants to do the same for themselves.

I'm getting sick of seeing it everywhere.

How am I supposed to clear these things when no one will help me finish them in the first place? On the rare occasion that I find a party that doesn't pull this crap, they kick me out after two attempts because "YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE FIGHT!?"

Please don't tell me to set [Practice]. 8 people throwing themselves miserably at a fight and breaking up after 10 minutes doesn't help anything.

Squeenix needs to do something about this instead of making me wait until two expansions later to actually finish the content.

uhhhhh. 8 people throwing themselves at the boss in a practice party is how you learn the fight. What you want is for other people to carry you through it, no, you are not entitled to that. Make a learning party and put your time in.

It's more a problem with other players, it's easier to get a farm/weekly than a training party and some ppl leave too fast/don't learn anything before entering/keep failing on easy mecanics... I understand the pain.
But what can you do ? Reward ppl for going in training parties ? Things will go worse because of that. Right a player with a kill has no reason to go in training again and we got plenty of player who don't want to learn for different reasons.
I suggest finding a static, no need for VC if you don't want. I did E8S with a temporary static without mic because i didnt wanted to raid lead, we cleared it even if it taked longer than a normal static. It was messy, a pain in the ass but i did what i wanted to do.
Instead of waiting for others to resolve your problems, try to do something. I'm not saying you didn't try anything, but you can't everything instantly it takes time and effort :/ PF won't change for you aniway and same for the ppl in this thread.

stop looking for carries, this isn't WoW

to add some advice: look up videos of people playing your class, and study them like fighting game players study fighting game videos. you aren't being a passive observer, watch what they use, when they use it, and try to reverse-engineer why they used it. ask yourself why that Scholar held off on throwing out Indom after a raidwide (was it to get a Recitation for it to have the guaranteed crit and save an aetherflow for a later Lustrate, or was it to wait until Fey Blessing was available because the party didn't need the full potency of Indom?). check your own gameplay, are you following the ABCs (Always Be Casting)? if you're a Scholar main, you never have to drop GCDs for movement thanks to Ruin II, because losing 90 potency is better than losing 290 potency. Raids in this game don't have room for carries while they're on content.

ffxiv "hard" content is just practice and more practice until u know the mechanics , it takes a while since bosses have phases , p1 is usually easy , teach u whats coming later on , p2 is usually harder , mechanics can be mixed and p3 is usually the hardest ,

PF CREATE PARTY for PRACTICE , there are tons of ppl that would like to practice , once u are into P3 u can start focusing on duty clear , invite ppl that can go up to p3 and go until u clear it , its a mess because some ppl fail , or lied ...u can kick them and try again tho.

it doesnt take 15 min to learn a boss , it can take a while so dont be mad that u failed , if u pass p1 into 2 u are almost there...once u are into P3 ...its close and once u have seen all the mechanics is just dont fail!...and duty complete!

Don’t get too carried away. Diamond weapon is probably the easiest ex this expac on release.

Ironically enough as far as EX trials go in ShB, people still underestimate Diamond Weapon to the point where they ultimately flub the mechanics of Limit Cut/Flood Ray, Meteor Circles, or the Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire without the speech bubbles when a party's DPS isn't high enough to skip them.

Shiva unreal as an impossible enrage... Well yes I agree that I didn't wanted to go in with pugs after my terrible experiences of people sliding or not going behind the boss even after I use a "BOW" macro with a nice little sound of bongos.
What we did, with friends we formed a quick Unreal group and it took 20 to 30 minutes to get done with the 2 weekly kills. Because we are 8 extremely manly, beautiful and competent players.

Now if you took 8 people like the OP and formed a group, they'd go nowhere. They'd probably reach the end of instance timer before a normal clear.

It's expected to not be able to clear this stuff with pugs. Join a static if you want reliable clears with enough practice to learn the fights. This has been expected since 2.0.
