The entire house decoration ways is a huge flaw in design, fortunately with the wooden steps it is just minor, but still... SE need to make or give us the tools to place anything we want in a 3D sense without having to glitch up or down.

and nope, it does not take much skill if any to glitch things up and down, but it is a very irritating proces to do.

I'm reluctant to ask them to fix things in that way. While i agree it would be nice and make things easier i cant help but think they will end up limiting our creativity in some manner to the point we wish they had not touched it at all.

I don't understand why you think that would limit our creativity. The only thing that might limit it would be if they enabled collision while in the furnishing menu so we can no longer clip items.

It's another one of those situations where we see it happening in other MMO housing. Players there have the ability to place an item anywhere and rotate it any way they want. They're able to display their creativity at levels not possible with our limited system.

It would be nice to see it happen here as well so we can push our creativity even farther.

The engine is actually capable of doing this, there is just an arbitrary restriction programmed into it, like the "blocking" to place items close to walls which is a big problem with carpets for example.
so far i found no way to keep the rotation of a wall decoration item, they snap back into their original position when exiting the house even when place onto diagonal walls or floor.

Thats exactly the type of thing id worry about them "fixing" while they also give us the fixes we asked for.

Oh, they'd never do it. All the house design sharing on Twitter, Instagram, Housing Snap, etc. is free publicity for the game.

They're not going to make changes that would take away our ability to do things we want to share with others in social media.

If other games (including other cross platform games) are able to provide these functions to their players without problem, then it is highly unlikely there would be problems if they were added here.
