I am going to laugh if the WoL stubble ends up on male viera though

i think he specifically said something along „stubble for hyur“ in that interview. i really, really hope tho all male characters get to use it tho... at least those were it‘d be possible, i don‘t know it they would work with au ra scales for example. but hyur, miqo‘te, roe, elezen, viera could work.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually have recycled that custom face as a starting point.

At least three of the four male Au Ra faces seem to match custom-faced NPCs (Aymeric, Varis, Edmont) and I assume the fourth probably does too, but I just haven't been able to identify it.

You know I’m just now realizing I use the Aymeric face all the time for my Au Ra. Didn’t know why I was drawn to that one but now I am fully aware!

Tbf I wont be surprised if they just retcon the dramaturge lore on viera by saying 'Hey, not everyone is always right!' as a way to add miera into the lore.
