I don't pay attention to the guy really, but what I half think is that he will get mad that the game doesn't let him start killing stuff within 5 seconds after creating his character so he quits on the spot.

More seriously, I don't expect him to stay for very long. Not saying I don't like the idea of him playing, but his playstyle just doesn't fit with this game based on my understanding of it.

just talked about that to another player. i said its kinda embarassing to have the official forum in this state.... its just a pot of shit nowadays. even though its a part of the official representation of the game to the outside.
his answer: 'forums are dying nowadays anyway'
yeah they are... doesnt mean its good for the game to have it in this state.


there are problems in the ff14 community, there are black sheeps, but overall its a friendly community INGAME, dont worry. and tbh twitch would probably be a better place to ask for advice than this forum xD

Thankfully it doesn't. Very, very little of what you see on the forum goes on in the game. Be it on NA or EU datacenters.. despite what some of the forum regulars like to portray. I've played on both NA and EU datacenters and my general experience for the past year has been of a genuinely positive and friendly community 98% of the time. Only times I've seen snippiness is when things go horribly wrong in content people believe should never go wrong nowadays, like Crystal Tower.

I used to watch his WoW clips back when I played it. Funny guy. His reaction to the trailer and male viera was hilarious so I look forward to more of his unfiltered first impressions.

I agree with this completely. What is on the forums is not represented in the game itself at all really. There is so much garbage on these forums but if you look for it in the game, its pretty darn hard to actually find.
