I’d rather no hair than having to see the atrocities of the recent androgynous hairstyles with 50 bows and tails.

I'm also hoping that we get more facial hair options for male characters - especially the stubble used by the Warrior of Darkness in promotional screenshots and in-game footage. Granted, recent commentary on that in interviews has been a bit more optimistic so I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll be getting it at some point.

That aside, I think the examples given by the original poster covered a broad range of potential options for short, masculine hairstyles that could be added to the game.

You get what you ask for. You posted a picture showing what you are asking for. It's as simple as that.

Describing it as a "showcase" certainly indicates to me that it's a broad range of possible ideas on your request, not a narrow one.

I think what he showed is more than ample for any artist worth their salt, nevermind the talented ones they have working for them, to take some inspiration and design some good male hairstyles and in all honesty, it is a fairly broad range.
