This game doesn't do enough to help people clear Ex/Savage content.

Squeenix needs to do something about this instead of making me wait until two expansions later to actually finish the content.

in a word. Ex fights and savage fights are not required so.. no, they do not.
parties for the basic fights are easy to come by

yes, I understand you want to do the harder/hardest content, but its hard for a reason and if you want to learn it, make a learning party. chances are you might get a couple that know something about the fight, but in a learning party, its understood.. you have never cleared it and want to learn mechanics. Many of the people creating parties that arent learning parties are expecting basic competency in the duty, and if you have never cleared it, or even been in it, chances are you arent contributing, and in those things, there is very little room for a carry.

SE doesnt have to do anything to "help" you do ex/savage. are you expecting them to dumb it down? No. not required. take a step, make your own party.

before you start of on me being some elite ex/savage runner, I will say that it is unlikely I will do the Shb ex/savage fights. I lack the reaction time/mechanic retention to do them well, and I am okay with that. I am mature enough to recognize my own limitations and not throw a hissy fit because I cant do something in a video game. but doesnt mean I think I need SE's help to clear it. all that does is cheapen the experience for all.

We about 6 months into Eden's Promise Savage, the amount of progression by those interested will either be cleared, or somewhere in the last two floors.

The most learning you'll see nowadays without creating your own is probably people still stuck on enrage E11S and anywhere in E12S. Those two require a bit more progression than the easier floors, and the last require more finesse play by a group that has never cleared the content. Gear helps, but you won't be dragging people completely to the finish line because of the mechanics.

Lastly, you shouldn't be joining "re-clear" parties without having cleared. Some people don't have experience creating their own XPF that they forget to check the duty complete box to prevent people who don't have a clear from joining.

I'm getting sick of seeing it everywhere.

How am I supposed to clear these things when no one will help me finish them in the first place? On the rare occasion that I find a party that doesn't pull this crap, they kick me out after two attempts because "YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE FIGHT!?"

Please don't tell me to set [Practice]. 8 people throwing themselves miserably at a fight and breaking up after 10 minutes doesn't help anything.

Actually what needs to happen is you need to make your own party with 7 other people, set the expectations in the description and practice.

Keep practicing until you're not 100 damage from losing to the LB while still managing to get out healed by your co-healer as the regen healer with only 1 death.

I don't think they're a troll, they've been posting this kind of thing for a while now.
They seem to have a very demanding personality in general.
They've been banned from the forums before for their rude behaviour.

I'm just going to chalk the topic up as the OP being upset that people won't carry their inadequate play in Savage content and let it rest at that. I don't even do Savage and I doubt I'd let a healer with DPS in the triple digits (when you're lucky) in my party either.

I agree that it is painful to get into any extreme/savage group for us newcomers due to "duty completed" flood in Party Finder. No matter if I watched and learned the mechanics.
On the other hand, you gave yourself an answer in your first post why it is like that. In difficult content every player must carry its own wieght.

I hosted few "practice" groups for extreme trial and unreal weekly, but none of those ended in clear because not only players did not bother to watch 5 min vid guide, they even could not learn from its own mistakes and were repeatedly dying to dives and taking a cold bath after body slam

So, it is like a vicious circle. Duty completed prefix help filter experienced players for smooth clear, but at the same time prohibits us newcomers who makes effort to learn mechanics to even get a clear.

Either way, I'd parrot on what you've typed on that 2nd paragraph.

You wanna hear the crazy part? Last time they made this thread, someone did the same lookup. At that point they were basically a 0 DPS healer who was still being out-healed by their cohealer. So from what im gleaming(i choose not to go down that rabbit hole today), the current version is actually an improvement. At the current rate of progress, they might actually be ready for an (ex) before the game is taken offline.

I think they are just confused. I didn't know how the party finder worked at the beginning as well, though I always made sure to let ppl know that "this is going to be my first try". And then they let me know that the party is for completion not for practice.

To the OP. Just make your own party. Watch the youtube guide to make sure you know the mechanics and you should be able to complete it.

This is not true. If you type in the description that you need help with the clear most probably people who have completed the raid would come in and help you clear it. As long as you do your part you should be fine. At least this is how it was with me. I did several practices runs on my first day to learn the mechanics for umbra and then on the second day I made a party practice party for clear and we cleared it.
