I think they are just confused. I didn't know how the party finder worked at the beginning as well, though I always made sure to let ppl know that "this is going to be my first try". And then they let me know that the party is for completion not for practice.

To the OP. Just make your own party. Watch the youtube guide to make sure you know the mechanics and you should be able to complete it.

This is not true. If you type in the description that you need help with the clear most probably people who have completed the raid would come in and help you clear it. As long as you do your part you should be fine. At least this is how it was with me. I did several practices runs on my first day to learn the mechanics for umbra and then on the second day I made a party practice party for clear and we cleared it.
