You must be real fun at parties.for the love of god please stop trying to push for two underaged girls to be gay, do you have nothing better to do than force your headcanon shipping onto others and using every possibly excuse why it's not "obvious"?! SE has no problems with straight up gay characters and yet there is not a single indication that ryne and gaia are in love, a relationship or anything of the sort, it's f*cking creepy.
Don't see why people can't have their Ship of Ryne x Big Lips. Next people will cry about Estinien x Gaius bromance.
As people have been so quick to tell me numerous times why say anything?
Maybe it is because my friends are into anime I have just learned to not challenge ones shipping. Not even worth walking up the hill most of time.
it probably has to do with most of the arguments being the exact same dribble that anti-gay, anti-lgbt people say to deny the idea that characters can by gay.what's up with your camp always trying to imply that people who don't want checkbox representation or don't see two damn teens being friends as being a couple as being anti-gay, anti-lgbt and anti-whatever? I'm gay, do I have internalised homophobia now? do you have any other argument aside from headcanon and shipping?
"Why can't they just be friends? why can't two girls just be friends anymore?" when there are tons of characters who are "just friends" and nowhere near represented the same way within the same media.
just one example
Also the argument that somehow because they are young teens they can't possibly be gay when it makes perfect sense that they could considering that is when most people awaken to their sexuality. The equivalizing of sexuality to only be about having sex which isn't the case at all. Nobody is seriously saying they should screw, just that there is romantic tension. romance =/= sex although sex can be the result of romance.
There is also a blatant disregard for character-coding which has been a thing in literature for centuries to represent different groups even outside of things like sexual orientation. (see character-coding literature analysis) Somehow though when it comes to two characters that could be gay people ignore this simple tried and true concept that has existed since before even Shakespeare.
I'm against this checkbox culture that has spouted from twitter, this isn't a case of just checking a box. (being against check box culture has unfortunately been another thing constantly used by anti-lgbt people in order to invalidate lgbt couples in media. Check box culture sucks as it results mostly in tokenism. Ryne and Gaia aren't tokens, they are two characters that grew together)

Oi now, as far as I'm concerned, Gaius is still hung up on Lahabread. He won't get over Prae so quick. "We will speak later, Ascian... (in the bedroom, natch)." He might pretend he's over it, but he's not really. And he never will be...
That's the ship I will die for. Even though I may be quite alone in steering it.![]()

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same plot-line. Eden, with Ryne and Gaia, right? The two who were basically doting on one another by the end? Practically spending every waking moment with one another, creating as many possible memories together - just the two of them - as they could? To the point that Thancred was getting jealous and had Urianger comparing Thancred to a father losing his daughter?
I mean, they were more into one another than Alasaie has been shown to be into the WoL and that's pretty much accepted that she has a crush on the WoL. Unless, being player-sexual is just easier for the wider audience to accept? Also, I have no idea how old either Ryne or Gaia are. They're young, whatever number that is, right? But I have no idea if they're younger or older than Alasaie for example. People say they're kids. Anyone know how old they actually are?

Its a big reach to assume Ryne and Gaia are a couple. But the writer did leave that story open ended for their friendship/romance like a lot of games do. There are alot of ingame moments that are "questionable" when it comes to a non heterosexual relationship. One example is the Hildibrand questline where you are rubbing body oil on him. Depending on your viewpoint and in game character. You could see that as a something.
SE and the writers does a very good job at leaving interactions between NPCs and NPCs and players open for imagination which IMO is great because it satisfies everyone.

same, although i wish they did more Gaia/rye... tbh its typical of a game/ tv show to two so with two female characters and say 'work complete' in all honesty.. now if only they would do with male characters, maybe the catboi i hope id say they are supporting.. but they doing the typical thing and say thats enough lol

Oh, it hit the sandbank and ran aground, but I'm sure it can happen again! Love never dies, or some such.
