Bellular's praising anything beyond the level 1-20 experience only off of vague secondhand knowledge and a ton of wishful thinking (mostly just to provide a counterpoint by which to call out WoW's problems), though?

He evidently played through some of the Shadowbringer's content on someone else's account.

It wouldn't cause problems for this game if he chose to start playing it and adding FFXIV to his various content channels. It's all free publicity and FFXIV already has a few content creators in the same style.

If he wants to play more FFXIV, fine. If he doesn't, fine. It's not going to impact the game in the long run.

Asmon used to entertaining to watch. But trust me, you don't want to have him and his community in 14.

Wasn't he mostly about open world PvP hijinks? They'd get bored and quit fast, or banned faster if they tried any of that here.

Asmongold is smart enough to know that this game doesn't fit his style as a player or as a streamer.

I've got no issues with Michael doing XIV content; on the contrary, I hope he enjoys it and gets into enough to view it with a similarly loving but critical eye as he has done for WoW.

I just think it's too early to call this broad-scale (or otherwise significant) praise; he's only done a couple normal trials on Bard and has barely finished the Gridania MSQ.
