No, you're not. You dont have to follow her recommendations for "easy 80 points" if that recommendation is not easy for you. You can simply ignore the legs alltogether and use one of the recommended body pieces instead. For most people the legs will be easier to obtain, since they can be bought from the Calamity Salavger for some gil, while the chestpieces might require a little more effort or spendings on the marketboard.

I'm pretty sure you're only trolling, but just in case you arent... the legs are absolutly not needed to get 80 points, they're just the easiest option for most people.

Which is not all of the facts.
They only posted the items they used for their 100 and 80 attempts.
The sources they used, and linked on their post, is here: https://twitter.com/KaiyokoStar

Why does everybody always think that I am trolling when I am not?

Where is the other 80 points options? I did not know that there was more than one

The graphic on her twitter does not list any other 80 point options. It has a bunch of gear sets but does not list what they are for. And pretty much EVERY one lists at least one Antiquated. so your info does not help me at all

Because most all of your posts are overreactions and confrontational, even when you are given valid advise.
Trolls use the same style posts.

The way the Fashion Report system work is each slot on your character has a base point value if there is an item in a slot (both the left and right side slots). Any slot missing an item is a deduction of points (as in you do not get points for the empty slot), hence why you must have an item in every slot in order to constantly score high.
Values of items are theory crafted here:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...coring_theory/
    and here:
    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...buFv5PlmU/edit
(actual point values have changed sense 4.3, with the net result making it easier to get points)

The way to "win" in the Fashion Report is to get a combined total of points to hit or exceed your goal, as in 80 points to get the max MGP or 100 to get the Achievement + max MGP.
As such, the rating of the item slots with "themes" are generally the highest points per slot when you achieve a Gold Rating for the slot and other combos of gear and dyes are lower points.
So, all you have to do is once you find out what items are Gold and what items are not, plus find out what Dyes are good and which ones are not, is to go through your gear and jobs, then mix/match something that will give you the score you want.

Because, quite honestly, I kinda always hope that you are... Most of your questions can be answered by applying a tiny bit of research (beyond a twitter post) and using common sense.

In the post right above the one I replied to, someone posted the complete info graphic, that includes other options. Again: Applying a bit more research beyond twitter, even only looking at the posts and links in this thread would have solved your problem. Instead you seem to insist that you're being treated "unfairly", when you're not - you're simply working with incomplete information and arent willing (or able?) to do some better research yourself. Just looking at the fashion report in game and thinking a minute about it, would have told you that there has to be more than one option and more to this fashion report than using those legs.

Honestly: You're not supposed to look at twitter for this. The way it was intended was for you to use the hints in the fashion report and figure out yourself what kind of gear might be required, while exchanging your findings with other players. I know I'm pretty much a grumpy old lady in this regard (specially since it had the potential to be a pain in the butt at times...), but blindly following some twitter post for this is certainly not the way to go.

To circle back to the whole "why does everyone think I'm trolling thing": To me not understanding very basic principles that the game more or less explains to you, has one of the following reasons: (1) person being very, very new to the game (as in: couple of hours in), (2) person being to lazy to do the research themself (why, though? Its often quicker to google than to post and wait for an answer), (3) person has substandard cognitive or verbal abilities (the later especially when they cant play the game in their native language or a language they speak very well) or (4) its a troll.

For the fashion report, the game gives you enough hints on whats expected of you - Kirika kindly summed up the findings of the community. The basic priciples are something you can easly figure out yourself, though.

Because you are unable to grasp some of the basic concepts of how the game works and then you make overblown reactions. Then when people point this out to you, you don't eat your humble pie like you should.

A player created guide doesn't have the only absolute set in stone answers. It's only one suggestion.

If you did a little thinking of your own, you'd see it's possible to get an 80+ score as long as you have a level 15 class (since that's the level for the quest that unlocks Gold Saucer).

People think you're trolling because you clearly are with your irrational outraged rants that are easily answered through applying a little thought or asking other players in a normal fashion.

    Example: Instead of posting

My wife is the only one in my family who has access to a level 70 dragoon—and she CANNOT even do it because she was NEVER given the level 70 dragoon gear when she did the level 70 quest. Nor can she get them from Calamity Salvager. I had the same issue with Summoner for multiple character.

Normally 80 points DOES NOT require a specific job to get the 80 points. Occasionally a DoW or a DoM is required but this is a first for a DRG required AT level 70.

This is NOT 100 points which often requires a specific job, this is 80 points!

This is a new low for Square Enix
You could have posted something like:

A player guide I saw for the Fashion Report this week says I need to use the DRG legs to get an 80+ score but I don't have a level 70 DRG. Is there another way to score 80+?
World of difference between the two and the latter is far more likely to result in constructive replies.

Just want to chime in that I used Antiquated Orator's Bottoms which I purchased from the Calamity Salvager and got gold for them.

So any antiquated legs will work.
