You might as well just say it out loud that English team SE hired for NA and EU are not doing their job accordingly
The EN team is apparently not allowed to do anything besides punish for bad words, they have to go through the uncaring JP STF which looks at someone tunneling through the ground as unworthy of anything more than a 1 week suspension.
(Said person still got their t100 gear anyways lol)
i know of a case where someone was found guilty of wintrading with 8 accounts in the late nights/early mornings. they got removed from the top 100 but still got their reward. that was season 18, they pulled the same shit in season 19 and got their reward again. The EN team is apparently not allowed to do anything besides punish for bad words, they have to go through the uncaring JP STF which looks at someone tunneling through the ground as unworthy of anything more than a 1 week suspension.

From the sounds of it, SE might as well just give up on the Feast and turn it into something akin to Triple Triad Tournament were you get collars based on your ranking after the week ended which you can turn in for previous Feast rewards, if cheating and gaming the system is so rampant that it ruins the whole legitimacy of the Ranking. At least People that invest hours of their time won't literally get cheated out on their chances to aquire the seasonal reward anymore and people that are new to the game can work towards getting previous rewards aswell. Might take them longer but at least they don't have to slave away anymore just to get pushed out of Top 100 by people abusing glitches/exploits/third party software.

Season 1-4 were the best ones. Rating was way more affected by Win-Loss rate and Cheats/Hacks were very Rare because there were barely any of them "developed" for this new game mode.I think it best to just end the ranking of the Feast mode now. I have been playing since Season 1 and it has not been this bad until recently. In season 18 and 19... you can barely get a legitimate match because players are cheating without any type of punishment.
Wintrading, Boosting, Hacking, Scripting, and Target grieving your competition. Now, even Rank 1 slots get corrupted. It is just not fun to play with and against cheaters in a competitive environment. It so bad that I'm hearing stories of extortion and blackmail now, "Pay me and I won't through your matches this season"
I understand SE does not have a task force to handle PvP cheating so it's best to just keep PVP/Feast casual until then now that cheating is a common tactic. A light party season will not solve these issues either.
Now i see 24/7 Limsadwellers with Hunter Wolf /Diamond Wolf and Ultimate titles. Casually starting a conversation with them, acting like you admire their Titles and stuff, they suddenly grow silent or logg off when asking them how the Bossmechanics work / how they play their job in PvP.
I said it in a different thread, nothing "achieved" after Season 4 counts for me.

The top 100 model is probably doing the opposite of what is intended, and was from the start honestly. Until they offer additional seasonal solo PvP rewards based on a known and reachable objective, like raw # of wins or some kind of participation metric that is less dependent on having good/real teammates, people will not want to dive into the mode. It is just not worth the time or risk of not actually getting any good rewards. The only reason to participate casually right now is tomes and maybe wolf collars, which lead to games being thrown for quick tomes more than anything else. The collar weapons are extremely dated at this point, and they weren't that great of an incentive to begin with... Even if the new mode is fun, if there isn't an attainable seasonal reward to participate that people can't get elsewhere that people actually want (unique mount/glams) or some other game incentive that people want like relic quest drops... ANYTHING else relevant, a huge majority of players won't want to try it or do it on the side. The game has been telling players for years that they either need to be top 100 or to not bother. They don't reward participation enough on a seasonal basis to make the mode attractive as a legitimate piece of side content for people to do casually, so most people just avoid it.From the sounds of it, SE might as well just give up on the Feast and turn it into something akin to Triple Triad Tournament were you get collars based on your ranking after the week ended which you can turn in for previous Feast rewards, if cheating and gaming the system is so rampant that it ruins the whole legitimacy of the Ranking. All you have to do is ask yourself why someone would spend time regularly playing Feast, or even Frontlines or Rival Wings for that matter, when they could use that time to do things like craft/gather/level more efficiently/farm mounts/do their relic/etc. ALL which provide more attainable and more desirable rewards/outcomes with less energy and stress.
But any good rewards that would actually get people to do PvP, without being stressed about ending up as #101, will immediately be botted nonstop. Until they fix that problem, PvP will continue to be a full-on meme in the game's community and people will continue to mostly ignore it as there is no good reason to do it more than a few times a year when something new is out.

I reported you for doing what is ethically fair and morally right. If SE can say the same about themselves, they might just resolve this obviously bad problem, customer. It is common knowledge amongst those who play PVP, specifically ranked Feast, that reports for in-game PVP related incidents seemingly go unnoticed or unattended. In the past, most incidents were either win-traders, people boosting others accounts, and the occasional hacking and exploitation of the game via speed hacking, PVE sprint in game, going to unreachable areas, etc. Now, we have a new item to add to the list with the assistance of third party tools to script actions in a match allowing for instantaneous responses during a match(like insta cancelling LB's).
With Season 20 confirmed, and the potential of more seasons afterwards, not to mention the new PVP game mode to come next expansion, issues like this will most likely continue and evolve while the response from SE has not. The last update we received was our own little line item for reporting PVP specific related incidents four years ago. Yet season after season, year after year, so many absolutely apparent actions of the above go completely ignored. The most common and depressing notion when it comes to this is people asking "Can't we just report it?" and the usual response is "It doesn't matter, SE does nothing."
People make forum posts, twitter posts, and daily in-game reports to SE to include videos, pictures, and any sort of evidence to show without a shred of doubt, infractions that violate the ToS set by SE and yet, nothing happens. Entire data centers locked in a chokehold due to the rampant amount of in-game infractions, further driving people away from an already small game-mode.
As much as I am excited for the new PVP game-mode, I cannot help but also feel disheartened to the fact that the above will continue to happen and again go unanswered.
I ask this of SE and the devs: What more do you need from us? We feel so helpless in the face of it all because your actions or lack there of only go to show us the perception that you care far less than even you lead us to believe. We understand it's side content and a controversial game mode that the majority complain about and it must be somewhat difficult to parse the reports from the actual grievances to the people just complaining. Even with that in mind, one of the things holding FFXIV as a whole from being an amazing, all around, top MMO is it's PVP, and the unanswered, legitimate grievances only add another nail into the coffin.
I ask anyone reading this to comment with your own thoughts, ideas, grievances of your own(although I am sure after this much time this complaint must sound like a broken record), in order to hopefully receive some sort of answer by SE and the devs. Thank you.
