    I'd rather have more Steampunk then Fantasy. As thats how the whole series has been pushing since.... ooh.. FF1?

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     I don't know if steampunk would fit the FFXIV setting(altthough we've only gotten a look at Eorzea), but traces of that might also be nice.

    I want it all!

    I really like the current system, where each piece of gear really resembles the recipe and the materials used to make it.

    But we need some super gaudy, ridiculous looking fantasy gems from the uncraftable list. Something that you look at, and have no clue where the chiz it came from, or how it was possibly made and brought into existance.

    Sure it would. The Garlean people seem to be more advanced technologically, so it's certainly possible that they could have traces of steampunk in their society. It may be better described as aetherpunk, but it could fit if it has Garlean influence.
